Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Claudia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Claudia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Choosing a name that truly represents you is never easy. Yet when I thought of mine, it came almost naturally. Super organic. Cachi represents a tiny little girl in a third-world country who was just beginning her journey in life. Cachi later moved to a well-developed nation, where she had to learn and adapt step by step. At first, she didn’t know how to navigate a new land, but little by little, she found her way.
Cachi is me.
That’s why my nonprofit organization is called Cachi’s Early Education Corner, and my publishing business is La Cachi Publishing House.
I am Claudia Maldonado — Autora.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have nearly 30 years of experience in the education system, with over 20 of those years dedicated to Early Childhood Education. Throughout my career, I have worked with and coached families and Early Childhood teaching staff across Southern California.
Drawing on this experience, I now create and publish children’s books that reflect the diverse families I have worked with or known. My stories celebrate multiculturalism, inclusivity, and the deep love of family culture. Through my books, I promote the importance of literature, culture, and languages. Many of my works are bilingual or even trilingual, making them accessible to a wide range of readers and communities.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One story that illustrates my resilience goes back to when I first moved from my home country to the United States. I found myself in a completely new environment, learning a new language and adapting to a different culture. At times it was overwhelming, but little by little I found my footing—first as a student, then as an educator. That same resilience has carried me through nearly 30 years in the education system and, later, into becoming an author. Whenever challenges arise—whether in publishing or building my nonprofit—I remind myself of that little girl, Cachi, who kept moving forward step by step. That journey continues to inspire me to write books that celebrate multiculturalism, inclusivity, and the resilience of families everywhere.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
A major pivot in my career came when I decided to become an author. After nearly 30 years in the education system and over 20 years as an Early Childhood Educator, I had spent much of my life working directly with children, families, and educators. While I loved that work, I realized I could make an even greater impact by creating books that reflect the diverse families and cultures I had come to know. That turning point—shifting from educator to author—allowed me to carry my passion for early education into stories that promote multiculturalism, inclusivity, and a love for literature. It was both a challenge and a leap of faith, but one that continues to inspire my work every day.
