We were lucky to catch up with Clash recently and have shared our conversation below.
Clash, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Right now, I am the only artist in my city (outside of thee Boss Dogg) in the Web3 Space and it has come with blessings and bull-. It all started with waking up one day feeling like the whole world was washed in some weird gray. Yet, I felt color. I got the opportunity to do a private event which I soon found was about to change my life. I met my new home I guess quite randomly. Gala Music. Because after I ripped the stage, I became a Gala Music artist. Now two releases deep I have felt the highs and lows of NFT Music.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I turned my passion towards music into funds at the early age of ten. It all started because my good friend Nathan told me I was funny and that I should make shirts. From jokes I made on Playstation, can you believe that? So I did. And took him and a few others along the ride. Fast forward twelve years and Nathan is minting NFTs with me and selling out grossing ten thousand dollars in under twenty four hours. You think I gave him time to create? Haha! He had less than twenty four hours to do his magic! This has all been on wild divine timing.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I believe that NFTs were the future two-three years ago, yet the sad truth is most youth in marginalized communities lack access and understanding in the field. Everyone is ready to educate the educated and wealthy but many forget about the people with lack of knowledge. For years I sat and listened. In the early days of Clubhouse and now at Web3 events for any information I can “take back to the hood”. Over here it has always been each one teach one, and right now it is prudent that the young and successful share their knowledge with their peers. Especially those who cannot afford or simply go to school.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Early on I wish I understood the importance of a good relationship with a therapist when chasing your goals. Don’t even think about it like therapy, think about it like the deceased yoda in your head. He guides you. Helps you. Man sometimes even tells you a joke, but NEVER. Leads you on. Thats good therapy. Seek that.
