We recently connected with Clarissa Carlucci and have shared our conversation below.
Clarissa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
I was raised in an Italian household and entrepreneurial environment – both of my parents (and heroes) admirably ran their own businesses in both the real estate and travel industries. From a very young age, they encouraged me to forge my own path in life and work hard. They also taught me that family, health and happiness always comes first.
My passion for marketing, business development and branding was established in college at the University of Miami. As a naturally curious person, I wanted to learn, become a true expert in the field and also make an impact on the organizations that I had the privilege to work with while completing my Master’s degree part-time at New York University.
After obtaining over a decade of experience, I realized that my true purpose in life was helping other entrepreneurs fulfill their dreams. I combined this with my passion for all things Italian, and forged my own path by starting my business Carlucci Collective in 2022.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For 12+ years, I worked at top Fortune 100 brands in New York City and Miami, overseeing global marketing, communications, business development, and product launches. I successfully concepted and executed award-winning marketing campaigns and have driven significant growth and customer acquisition.
Over the course of my career and as a first-generation Italian American, I identified a deep need in the market to assist Italian companies with adapting their brands and strategies to the US market, so I launched my own business, Carlucci Collective. I fully understand what it takes to succeed in both markets having successfully launched my own retail brand and have helped many others across a variety of industries.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Continuing to excel in your career while dealing with the unexpected loss of a parent at a fairly young age (24) is something that really tested me, and fueled my desire to thrive.
In the US, you get 1-2 weeks of bereavement leave, and then it’s back to the grind. The grieving period for the average person is months or even years, so you have no choice but to suppress those emotions and keep going. I channeled any pain that I felt into motivation, pivoted positions and continued to get promoted and win awards. I proved to myself that I could conquer anything in my career, and life in general which made me more resilient to what the future might hold.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being my true authentic self, knowing both the Italian and American markets and cultures, and treating every business I work with as if it is my own.
