Alright, Clarissa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
When I first started working at the YMCA, I had a strong desire to teach but was unsure of where to begin. Juggling a full-time job and being a full-time student made it challenging. However, an opportunity presented itself when a yoga colleague informed me of a yoga teacher opening at the YMCA. I took it as a sign and reached out to the manager. I believe the next day I had an interview that was more of a tryout. The manager liked what she saw and hired me on the spot. I am so happy that the YMCA manager gave me a chance.

I entered the yoga industry due to my early passion for yoga. My services cater to the holistic well-being of individuals, addressing their mind, body, and soul. Whether it’s fostering self-love or improving flexibility, I provide tailored assistance. What distinguishes me is my solid foundation in psychology and biology, backed by over 500 hours of yoga teacher training. My proudest achievement is attaining my doctorate degree. I want to emphasize that Brown Bird Butterfly Inc. is dedicated to serving everyone and is well-equipped to meet your unique needs.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If given the chance to go back, I would undoubtedly make the same choice regarding my profession. It is truly one of my deepest passions.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I have found that my unwavering determination and refusal to give up have been crucial to my success.
