We recently connected with Clarice Burse and have shared our conversation below.
Clarice, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
August 2, 2019 I lost one of my favorite great uncles. The bond I had with my Great Uncle Charlie was great, we both were the life of the party. Well i started to think what can i do to honor our bond. What i can remember from when i was younger there was always one or two family members stuck serving the alcohol drinks. Two reasons why people go that route it’s cheap and or it’s easier. Well that’s what made me think why not be a mobile bar to help everyone enjoy the family gatherings/events. I really wanted to make sure people can enjoy themselves like Great Uncle Charlie and I did. I knew this business venture was worthwhile because would help others at the same time honor a great man in my life. I didn’t know it if it would be successful, but I’m alway up for a challenge. I had faith that it would work because I had others in mind and not just myself. I’ve always felt like I’m solving a problem most people didn’t even pay attention to or even know it was a problem. I love people and helping them, so me being able to be apart of people special moments and making sure everyone could enjoy the fun keeps me excited.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Clarice I preferred to be called Charlee. I’m a single mother of two loving boys that I plan to pass the company down two. I get joy out of helping and serving others. I worked on the medical field and retail for about 15 years that’s where the love began. I just figured why not have fun while helping. My business provides a mobile bar, I also have drink packages so you don’t have to have a bartender at your smaller events. Most of my clients come to me with the fear of buying alcohol for their wedding, party, family reunion etc. and being stuck with what’s leftover. Well with my services the alcohol can be included or not depending on the client. There’s a lot things I could be proud of within my business venture but what I’m most proud of is the impression/impact I leave with my clients. I’ve been told my personality, care for others, and manners is what my clients love best, the fact that my drinks are good is a plus.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
What i have seen that has been most effective strategy for growing my clientele is social media. Doing TikTok’s and Reels (which are videos you can add music to) help me capture my audience attention. Once I capture their attention with my TikTok or Reel I steer them to my business profile. From there new clients are created.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
There are a lot of ways to gain new clients social media, bus cards, flyers etc. But the best way is word of mouth from pervious happy clients. That has been the best way and number one way for centuries.
