We were lucky to catch up with Claire Cafri recently and have shared our conversation below.

Claire, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

From a young chid I had a passion for dance. My parents gave me the gift of allowing me to pursue my dreams. Which led me to teaching kids dance, and after teaching kids for 20 years my best friend and I started Sweet Dream Tentz. Creating magical birthday parties for children. During covid we were struggling to celebrate birthdays with our kiddos and so we created a magical sleepover for them and realized how fun this was for the kids. We set up teepee tents in your home and come back the next day to clean up, creating a personalized experience that is hassle free and easy for parents. We also run paint parties and spa parties for the kids.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am originally from South Africa, and I have taught children for many years. My passion is being around kids and making them happy. And this business allows me to create birthday parties that are magical and so memorable. Seeing the kids reaction when they walk in the room is so fulfilling and makes all the planning and hard work so worth it. I have always loved creating and making things and now I get to do it as a job.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I am fulfilled every day to be creative and share this with the world. Seeing how happy people are by what we do is so rewarding.

How did you build your audience on social media?

We are still working on this, but the power of having clients post pics and tag us has been the best way for us so far.
