We were lucky to catch up with CK Wilde recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, CK thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Co-founding BOOKLYN- a not for profit to distribute and educate people about artist books.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
At an early age my proclivities for art making were encouraged and enthusiastically supported. After going to high school at The George School, a Quaker boarding school, i went on to study Philosophy and Art at the University of Wisconsin. In 1993 founded Artichoke Yink Press, an imprint for artists books; A.Y.P. has published over 125 titles to date with many artists and writers. I moved to New York City in 1995 to teach collage and book arts at The Pratt Institute, The Cooper Union, and The Center for the Book Arts. In 1998 I was the founding president of the Booklyn Artists Alliance, a 501-C3 non profit organization that assists artists and institutions with education and distribution of artist made books and prints. In 2009 i moved to Los Angeles to continue my work as an international artist. Most recently , in 2020 I returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family. My art is represented by Rosamund Felsen Gallery, Los Angeles CA. My artwork can be found in over 72 private and public collections worldwide, including The Getty, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The MOMA, and The Bibilioteca Alexandrina. I continue to exhibit worldwide and make commissioned artwork.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Art can be the hammer that shapes culture or the mirror that reflects it back to itself. A healthy society is inclusive and encouraging to the creative energies that form the imaginative engine and conscious soul of our shared lives. Both private and public entities must collaborate collectively for a vibrant and just culture.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I hope to create the possibility for people to see, feel, and think differently about the interconnectedness of this life we share.
