We were lucky to catch up with CJ & Justin Hildebrand recently and have shared our conversation below.
CJ & Justin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
Roughly six months after opening our doors, the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning to affect our nation gravely in many ways. A lockdown was instituted throughout the country and also in our county. Fortunately, as healthcare practitioners, the clinic was able to continue to serve the community with IV drips and services. However, by the middle of March of 2020, our business, as many others, experienced the impact of the pandemic.
In November of 2020, we began offering drive-up COVID-19 antigen testing to our community. Though the pandemic is ongoing, many individuals have realized the importance of fortifying their immune system and the value of their health. The pandemic has created even greater health needs than before. Through this complicated time, we have focused on the need for immune boosting supplementation and post-viral challenges such as brain fog and fatigue.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
IV Nutrition Now was a vision of our colleagues from college. They opened their first location in Overland Park, KS and invited us, as healthcare practitioners, to experience the benefits of nutrient intravenous infusions. With CJ suffering from Lyme disease for over two decades, the results she experienced were life-changing. She knew that we had to help others like her regain control of their health to live to their optimum potential, both physically and mentally. In August of 2019, we opened our doors to our clients from all walks of life. From young to old, healthy to ill, we have had the great fortune of serving our community and assisting others in their journey to wellness. The corporation has now expanded across the US, from locations in Colorado to Deleware.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
One of the best parts about our clinic is we offer not only services, but develop meaningful connections with our clients. We are invested in the health of each individual who walks in our door. Some want a quick hydration fix and others want to delve into what health issues they are facing. We assist everyone equally by listening to our clients and understanding what their goal is that brought them to us.
Every month, our company rolls out educational emails that offer insight into common conditions we encounter with clients. For example, in the fall months, we hear many people struggling with allergies and the fear of contracting illnesses. Our emails highlight what services we provide that assist with keeping an individual’s body functioning at its optimum. We feel that building a relationship with our clients, through education and awareness, is important to establishing a deeper understanding of what their needs are.
Our clinic provides monthly promotions available to any client, and we also offer a membership program. The membership is a great way to get on a structured protocol working toward wellness goals. It offers a wide variety of benefits from complimentary monthly injections to free drips depending on the current monthly promotion.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The biggest lesson we had to unlearn was that not every curveball can be anticipated or dodged. We learned from the pandemic that you can plan for anything, and there are still things we cannot avoid. Justin has ran his own business for over 10 years and we felt confident in his knowledge when translating it to our new business. When the pandemic hit, we were forced to face uncharted territory with the rest of the world. The two of us had to unlearn how to be as structured as we once were and deal with obstacles we had never seen before. Business ownership is challenging, but it is even more challenging with how the face of our economy has changed over the last few years. What once was the norm is no longer commonplace practice, and learning that fluidity was crucial. From securing materials needed for our business to function, to procuring a committed staff, we had to problem solve hardships together in order to continue operations through the pandemic.
