We were lucky to catch up with City Boy Reeko recently and have shared our conversation below.
City Boy , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Most meaningful, product of Wabash because it was during a time where I was finding myself in my early 20’s transitioning from military to civilian and surviving in California

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Grew up around music, family had own start up label called “family tyz click” and I used to goto studio sessions with my cousins and uncles. I (city boy reeko) bring a unique style and flavor to the game with punchlines and dope rhymes. Anyone who wants to listen to a song and just feel the energy transfer from the track to themselves, then I have the discography for you. Maint thing I want people to take away form my brand is to see that it’s Al about fun over here and enjoying the best things life has to offer like money clothes and girls.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I realized I needed to move back to Kansas City from California to be able to capitalize off opportunities throughout the metro and build a make up as well. Fast forward I had more shows in 8 months than my first 3 years combined since moving back.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The journey. Learning what works and doesn’t work and interacting with different people and connecting with them through my voice
