We recently connected with CINTHIA RODRIGUEZ and have shared our conversation below.
CINTHIA , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I am a mother of a young daughter and have always wanted a better future for both of us. I knew that working a regular job in Las Vegas would not be enough. I started as an employee in a tax office, but I always knew I wanted to grow personally and have my own office where I could help people.
I realized that I wanted my office to be more than just a tax service. I wanted to help my clients—and everyone who walks through my doors—understand their taxes, whether personal or business. I also obtained my Property & Casualty insurance licenses.
Over time, by running my business and working in a company for several years, I realized I could help even more people. I learned how to help others start their own businesses and discovered that many self-employed individuals in Las Vegas needed guidance to become business owners. Since then, I have helped many take that important step toward entrepreneurial independence.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started by renting a very small office with just a laptop; the size didn’t matter to me—I just needed to get started. I began doing taxes while still working a full-time job. I slept very little, but I knew I had to work hard. At the same time, I studied to obtain my auto and home insurance licenses and started working for an insurance company.
The owner of the company allowed me to prepare taxes on weekends and after work. From January to June during those early years, I was working 7 days a week without stopping, but at least I didn’t have to drive as much.
After a few years, during the pandemic, I took my first contract for my own tax office. I still needed to grow my client base and continued with a full-time job. Thanks to God, from August 2024 until today, I have been fully dedicated to my office. I was finally able to leave my full-time job.
It took time, since 2018, and many hours of hard work, but I can proudly say it was worth it. And I still have many more dreams to accomplish, God willing.
I made sure to give my clients the time they needed to address their specific needs. I shared what I did through my social media, but the most important thing isn’t that—it’s that my clients have been satisfied with my work, and the best recommendations have come from them. They referred me to even more people.
Taking the time to listen to them, understand their goals, and learn what they want to achieve in the coming years has helped me identify their needs and provide them with a high-quality service and product.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For me, the best way to maintain my clients is to be honest and kind. I believe that treating others the way you would like to be treated is the best way to build lasting relationships. It’s not just about selling a service, but about letting my clients know that I am here to help them with whatever they need.
The most effective strategy I’ve used to grow my clientele has been honesty, kindness, and truly listening to my clients. Taking the time to understand their goals and needs, and treating them with respect and care, has earned their trust and loyalty. Many of my clients have referred me to friends and family, and personal recommendations have been the strongest driver of growth. While sharing my work through social media helps, the most effective strategy has always been building genuine relationships and providing solutions that truly meet their needs.

If you have multiple revenue streams in your business, would you mind opening up about what those streams are and how they fit together?
The reason I never stop studying and learning is the same reason I do what I do: I want my clients to be able to trust me, whether it’s for quality auto and home insurance or for preparing their taxes. My goal is to help them have important aspects of their lives managed in one place.
It is important to me that my clients understand how to grow their income, where to save, or what kind of business to start to move forward. Additionally, if they need extra services, I can help guide them in the right direction.
Many of my clients also need notary services, which is why I became a licensed notary—to provide them with better service. Just as they recommend me, I also recommend my clients to each other, creating a network of trust and mutual support.
