Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cindy Tyler. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Cindy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I love my customers and I always try to show them my appreciation by having sales and giving away cake slices. But this year, for Thanksgiving, I wanted to do something more special. I donated 5 of my cakes to local single mothers. It was my way of saying thank you to my community and sharing some sweetness with those who need it most.
It was inspired by my own personal experience. Last year, I lost my husband and became a single mother myself. It was a very hard time for me and my children, but we were able to overcome it with the help of our family, friends, and customers. I wanted to do something to show my appreciation, gratitude and support for the other single mothers who are going through similar situations.
From what I’ve heard after the holiday from just those 5 moms, is that they were grateful that someone who actually understood their struggle, thought about them for Thanksgiving and they were very gracious!!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I’m Cindy Tyler, owner of Tylers Treatz LLC, a home bakery that offers a variety of delicious poundcakes.
I started Tylers Treatz three years ago with my late husband, who had a passion for entrepreneurship and baking. He was the driving force behind our vision of creating delicious and high-quality pound cakes for our customers. I was his assistant and supporter, helping him with the daily operations and marketing of our bakery. Unfortunately, he passed away in April of 2022. Since then, I have taken over the management of Tylers Treatz, honoring his memory and fulfilling his dream. I am proud of what we have achieved together.
Baking is more than just a job for me; it is a passion and a source of joy. I love creating delicious and beautiful cakes for my customers, especially for their special occasions. Nothing makes me happier than seeing their smiles and satisfaction when they receive their orders. I am honored to be part of their celebrations and to share my joy with them through my cakes. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our loyal and new customers every day.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I value each and every one of my customers, not only as patrons of my business, but also as members of my community. That’s why I make it a point to check in with them on a monthly basis, to see how they are doing and if there is anything I can do to help them. I believe that building strong and lasting relationships with my customers is the key to mutual success and satisfaction.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I am proud to say that most of my new clients come from referrals by my existing clients. This shows me that they are happy with my products and services, and that they trust me enough to recommend me to their friends and family. I strive to provide high-quality and exceptional customer service to every client, and I appreciate their loyalty and support.
