We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cindy Berry a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cindy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I have always had a love for being creative. My background is design. As a Gemini it has challenge my two personalities. I started my journey with Handmade Paper. Then my other side took me to the corporate world working as a Regional Manager for a Book Company. My independent side took me to own a Shipping store. Finally, I am back to my creative side doing Resin Art. My path has given me wealth of knowledge for my present business.
So, I would say I have always had a desire to create. It was when I was a Regional Manager, I realized that not everyone visualized things like I did. I can be out doing everyday things when I get a spark for a new ideal. This is how I came up with my business name Bboggled Art. The first B is for Berry and boggled is the way my mind is all the time. Boggled with new ideals. My love is to always be creating fun art,
Cindy , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My journey within design has delivered me to the complex layers of abstract art. My love for design and color is encompassed in each piece that I create. The unlimited boundaries of my imagination will be ever present and changing. I have explored many different mediums of art over my lifetime. When I found resin, it has been endless of the different ways to create one of a kind art. My desire for someone to rediscover something in my art each time you view it.
I have a degree in Interior Design from UNO in Nebraska. This has taught me the principal of design which I use in my art. Having a Design background, I feel I do not set limits on what I try. I love to push the boundaries of resin and do what others don’t.
My years in the corporate word taught me customer service, the business side of business and to be always changing.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
My customers excitement when seeing my art, at first, they think it is glass. They love the color and uniqueness of my art.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I try to set goals every year. Some are as simple as getting in a show. The main goal is to create affordable art for customers to have an original piece of art in their home.
