We recently connected with Cierra Jackson and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cierra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
I am very happy as a business owner. I work on a public platform and I definitely wish I had a regular job sometimes. There’s been a time that I’ve experienced gang stalking and public attacks. Every blue moon I feel like it was easier to work and go home without the opinions/energy of thousands following behind. I am very grateful as well. I love interacting with my platform and I love knowing I can heal and help people without even meeting them. The internet is a powerful place. Both good and bad, but mostly good. I love my freedom and being able to create my schedule and world and I’d never give that up.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I work in the Tarot/YouTube community. I had friends that were in the music/entertainment industry and everyone around me had a talent. I hung in an environment where you had to have an artistic niche or you’d feel out of place. I went through a breakup/healing journey that lead me to spirituality. I tried YouTube for a year or so with motivational videos and once I got into astrology I went into tarot. I started my tarot channel and slowly began to grow. I didn’t have an artist gift people could see or touch but more so feel. I realized I am psychic and now I provide general readings for the YouTube collective and I also sell personal readings as well. I also have a separate vlog channel and I share parts of my personal life with my Ohana (subscribers)

How did you build your audience on social media?
I found what was for me and I put my all into it. My personality has taken me far in terms of audience. I’m very big on staying true to self and authenticity and it works. The world is very fake right now and people love when you’re real and relatable. I take my craft very seriously and I’m actually gifted with what I do. I also take time do special things for my audience and I listen to what they want. I make videos according to their request, I get personal if it helps my audience and I make my platform a place that’s different from the norm. You attract more bees with honey!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn was defending myself. I feel like I was taught to defend myself and never allow anyone to disrespect me but I’ve been in so many fights via the internet every story is wild. I’ve had countless people swear I stalk them when I’ve never even come across them in real life. For a year I found myself making public scenes I’d immediately regret and delete all because a troll wanted to see me sweat. I’d allow people to get under my skin without realizing how much my attention does for them whether it’s good or bad. I had to learn to be silent and avoid drama. Sometimes the test of strength isn’t physical but mental and I had to gain the mental strength to refuse to react.
