We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ciara Elaine. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ciara below.
Ciara, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I had always known I was meant to do something with my music, however, it wasn’t until a little later in life that I truly trusted and committed to it as a vocation. After the end of a six-year relationship and a healing career gone stale, I found myself in a pretty intense personal reckoning. Music & writing had been largely absent during that chapter, but there was still a deep soul calling to reintegrate that back into my life. During my realignment season, I encountered multiple people that modeled and reflected back to me what was possible. They embodied the viability of a fulfilling creative life. They encouraged me, believed in me, and guided me back to myself. After enough positive reinforcement, I stopped running from it. I faced myself in the mirror, and in September of 2023, I made the big leap to Nashville and said yes to something I only felt.

Ciara, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
From a very young age, I intuitively knew I was meant to do something meaningful with my music. I taught myself guitar & piano, was songwriting before I was 10, and jumped on every opportunity to showcase my gifts… from auditioning for talent shows, TV contests, and even starting my own Youtube channel, posting cover songs & originals regularly.
Still, I came from a fairly traditional family where the messaging was: go to college, get a degree, and find a stable career. So, I gave it a shot. I paused my artistry, earned my associate’s degree, and later pursued a career in massage therapy & intuitive bodywork. I worked for a few small studios and even ran my own practice for a few years. It was incredibly fulfilling supporting people in their healing, but it still felt like something was missing.
Everything began to shift, though, in the fall of 2022 after a series of plant medicine ceremonies initiated what I now recognize as a spiritual awakening. I realized I wasn’t living in full alignment with my core self and it became clear I needed to make some major changes. Within a six month time-frame, I ended a six year relationship, took a step back from my healing career, and made the bold move to Nashville. I had no expectations, no plan… just an intention and a knowing that it was time to answer my soul’s call.
At the foundation, I write songs, share stories, and make people feel things. I’m still in the experimentation phase creatively, and in a time where genres are blending more than ever, I try not to box myself in. That said, my sound currently lives somewhere between alternative singer/songwriter and indie folk, integrating intimate story telling and soul-deep truth. But, beyond the music, I’m building a creative wellness brand: something multidimensional that integrates all the things that have supported me along my journey, from education on quality self-care and inner work to psychedelic healing and its profound healing effects on the mind, body, heart, and spirit.
Right now, I’m releasing music independently, building community through local shows, and using my Patreon to cultivate deeper connection around my work. In July of 2025, I self-released my debut EP “Uncovered”, a 7-song project featuring six reimagined songs by some of my biggest musical inspirations alongside one original track “Falling Thru the Cracks” where I vulnerably share my experience of unraveling and moving on. On Patreon, I offer exclusive content including songs, writings, & behind-the-scenes reflections. My intention is to create a space that offers inspiration, healing, and guidance rooted in resonance and sustainability for those on the path to self-rediscovery.
What sets my work apart is my devotion to radical self-trust. I want to embody what it looks like to live a life of inner alignment; through vitality, authenticity, and commitment to one’s core truth. I firmly believe that when we have the tools to transcend traumas, rewrite old narratives, and reconnect with ourselves, real change in our world becomes not just possible, but inevitable. Because change doesn’t start on the outside. It begins within. The outside is just the reflection.
I do this work because I know my story isn’t an isolated experience. I think so many of us have these soul deep desires that get buried beneath fear, practicality, or inherited belief systems. And while there are kernels of truth in all perspectives, that doesn’t mean we should lose sight of our own personal truth. If something was placed on your heart, it was placed there for a reason. The only thing standing in the way of it is your belief about it… or lack thereof.
We can’t always know why our paths call to us, or even what may come of them, but if you can detach from the outcome, trust your next intuitive step, and move with faith… there’s no way you lose.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I’d say the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the connection that unfolds after sharing my work. The conversations that start, the emotions it evokes, and the stories that get exchanged. The art itself becomes a catalyst for deeper processes to take place. It creates a sense of belonging and emotional safety, allowing people to access parts of themselves that otherwise may stay hidden. I think those deep moments can only truly happen in the presence of community and connection. And to me, there’s nothing more sacred than that.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
When I first moved to Nashville, I jumped on any creative book I could find to help me get in the headspace of truly embodying the creative life. Three books significantly stick out: The Creative Act by Rick Rubin, The War of Art by Steven Pressfield, and The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. Each of these works explores the dance between inspiration and resistance, the necessity of sacred structure, and the devotion required to sustain the creative path. What resonates most is their shared emphasis on personal growth and commitment, not just to the craft, but to meeting yourself consciously, time and again, as you evolve. After all, your craft only develops as much as you do.
