We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cianna Alexis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cianna below.
Alright, Cianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
If I could go back in time some days, I do wish that I started a little sooner, or just had that commitment and dedication when I did initially start.
I started making music when I was young, before I was recording music I was just writing lyrics in my composition notebook . I always loved music . Fun fact I actually used to be quite upset if I missed the top 7 at 7 on the radio on my ride home from school . I was in choir in school very early on , and continued through high school. Once I got to high school I started dropping music on SoundCloud over spring break, this was a good start for me . It gave me a taste of feeling accomplished, especially coming back to school being called my stage name or people reciting my lyrics!
I wish i wouldve stuck with my passion earlier, but I also believe in divine timing.
Everything will play out how its supposed to, when its supposed to. Being more committed and consistent would definitely pay off in any field of work/passion. Life does happen , working and maintaining as an adult is not the easiest but now that im a little more comfortable where I am in life I have more time and room to do the things I love so I do plan on staying consistent this time around!
Cianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I Naturally gravitated towards the music and arts industry being as though I’ve always loved arts, of all kinds. As far as entrepreneurship, I’ve always had good work ethic, and was always willing to try new things which is how I got into styling hair , nails, & anything hands-on. I love picking up skills and I feel like you can never have too many! I make music, I’m an aspiring model & entrepreneur.
I believe what sets me apart is my versatility . I’m most proud of starting this journey, I feel like starting is the hardest and biggest step!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I feel like the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is sharing my art with others, who also appreciate it as much as I do. I love that I can be true to myself and authentic and not really put myself in a particular box. The sense of accomplishment I’m just doing what I love feels good.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I feel like society can best support local artist by prioritizing shopping with and supporting Local artists and small businesses . Attend shows , Whether it’s your friends open mic or an art show . Appreciate the authenticity and time and energy that goes into different arts or crafts,
