We recently connected with Chylene Babb and have shared our conversation below.
Chylene, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hey, I’m Chy! I’m a digital marketer and social media specialist that specializes in creating high-converting content that makes your audience feel seen and heard. I started Marketing with Chy in 2021 and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
For the last five years, I have been professionally managing social media accounts across various verticals. Whether I’m working with a higher education program to encourage follower engagement or working with a lifestyle coach to promote her new book to a brand new audience, I’m always taking a strategic approach to the content I create and manage. I’m comfortable working with multiple platforms, as I have experience in Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok. Last year, I was listed by Yahoo Finance as one of the top ten social media experts to look out for in 2021, and more recently, I helped increase one of my client’s engagement rates by 34%.
Additionally, I have a love for frameworks that allows me to execute content in a timely manner while consistently tracking its performance and optimizing future content accordingly. I use data to inform my decisions while still maintaining an empathic lens. I’m comfortable pulling, reading, and understanding social media analytics, as well as using and optimizing creation and scheduling tools.
To say that I have a passion for social media would be an understatement. I live for the small moments that might not seem momentous to others – that feeling when a new follower finally gets the courage to join in on the conversation, the moment you see a post start to take off, and even the moment when someone finally feels comfortable enough to DM you a question. When it comes to my business, I’m just as invested in my clients’ success as I am in my own.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being authentic.
It’s 2023, and everyone is over the fluff. They want the *real* stuff – the struggles, the heartache, the truth. Having a strategic approach to your social media is just as important as being genuine with your audience. They can feel when you’re being sincere or not.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
My clients and I meet on a regular basis and are always communicating with each other. One of the hardest lessons I learned when I first started my business was how absolutely necessary it is to stay organized.
The more organized you are, the better you can execute the vision for your clients.
