“What is a Property Recovery Agent?”
I get asked this question all the time. Before February of 2022 I would simply have to explain to the person asking me that I recover properties for banks and owners. They would still have a confused look on their face and I would have to provide more details. Explaining that I work directly with real estate agents and investors that have properties with people living in them that shouldn’t be there. They are called squatters. Now, this is just one of the services I provide to my clients, it just happens to be my biggest request. Removal of squatters in freshly foreclosed or newly purchased properties has become my specialty. Nowadays, I can refer people to my social media where I document a lot of my day and interactions with the people in these neighborhoods. I show the reality that is going on inside and around Cleveland, OH. I am not just kicking people out of properties but we are starting to offer help and support to the individuals in these situations. If they are honest and what help we can provide it or certainly point them in the right direction to a better life!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started in the foreclosure industry in 2001 working for a mortgage field services company. After working there for over 4 years I truly had my fill of the corporate lifestyle and desperately wanted to be independent. So, in December of 2005 I quit that job and officially started The Taylor Shop, LLC. We were a data processing company within the mortgage field industry. I did this for 14 years, grew the company to processing over 200 work orders a day, employed 3 amazing female processors plus myself and partner. We were a nationally and internationally known company within the mortgage field industry. In 2019, I changed directions and moved over to providing independent mobile real estate services. I complete weekly property inspections, gain access to properties for assessment, re-key and re-securing properties, pre-purchase inspections for investors, project manager for rehabs, property management and eviction assistance. The name of this new company is TaylorMade Services CLE.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The best advice I can give to anyone is make your content original (avoid trends), brand your content, keep it interesting and post content daily. No matter how many views you get just keep posting your content. If it is unique and original your audience will find you!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The number one reason is reliability. If your business is a service business, you need to be available when your clients expect you to be. Not being reliable and making excuses for it will quickly guide you into failure. Set boundaries but be available. In this very communicative and technical world that shouldn’t be a problem.
