Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chuck Gallagher. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chuck, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear from you about what you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry and why it matters.
In the dynamic landscape of modern business, where the digital realm continues to expand, it’s astonishing to note that while a staggering 87% of individuals rely on video content to inform their purchase decisions, a mere 26% of Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) harness the power of video. This disparity highlights a common oversight among CEOs who, while diligently managing their firms, may sometimes overlook the transformative potential of emerging trends. Video, undoubtedly one of the most underutilized platforms, possesses the capability to significantly enhance overall business outcomes. It’s imperative for forward-thinking leaders to recognize this untapped potential and explore how video could elevate their marketing strategies.

Chuck, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There are times in life when the unexpected takes place and often the unexpected is triggered by poor choices. From a poor set of choices in 1987 I entered federal prison in 1995. My life, obviously, and dramatically, changed. The question that was ever present was, what would I do following my release from prison?
My past earned me the right to the title convicted felon. But, just because I earned that title should I be defined by that for the rest of my life?
The truth is any of us can be victims or victors depending on our choices. It occurred to me that if poor choices made in the 80s earned me the right to federal prison in the 90s, then, perhaps better choices in the 90s would earn me a more positive outcome as the new millennium came into existence
A decade following my release from federal prison I found myself as a senior vice president of sales and marketing in a publicly traded company. People ask, how can you be a VP in a public company and a convicted felon? My response, “every choice has a consequence..” The decade, following federal prison created the foundation for the life and the success I live today.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My first job out of federal prison was selling cemetery property on straight commission door-to-door. I learned early on that I would not be given many second chances, so therefore, I needed to be the best at what I did. While other people would say they Would. “give it a try“. I understood that was not the outcome. Accomplishing the objective was the outcome.
Understanding the significance of succeeding in sales created a foundation for everything that I have done since 1996 It was becoming a senior VP in a public company, becoming a founder in a startup that eventually sold to a public company, creating a professional, speaking business and/or creating a video production company, all of them have the foundation in the understanding that meeting your customers needs is critical, and those who can communicate that win!
