Christy, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Taking a risk for my business was the biggest risk I’ve ever taken. My husband and I put everything we had into taking over ownership of Bronzmopolitan Spray Tan Bar. I am grateful every single day we decided to live in faith and not fear. We took the leap and I am so happy we did. Owning a business is a ton of work, non stop, but I could never go back to working for anyone else but US! The previous owner, Bethany, was so wonderful and full of knowledge when I started here as a Spray Tan Artist, I knew that this was not just going to be a new temporary position at the company. I knew this was where I was destined to be. Fast forward to 2019, my Husband and I took over as OWNERS OF BRONZMOPOLITAN SPRAY TAN BAR! Everything worked out better than we could ever imagine. Forever filled with gratitude for taking the jump!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I was born and raised right here in sunny Phoenix and have always been a green tea sippin’, bikini wearin’, sunbathing every chance I got, kinda gal! While being an Arizona native I learned early on how unforgiving the harsh UV rays from the sun can be to your skin.

My love affair with golden skin started in high school when I worked at a local tanning salon. After high school I went on to receive my license in esthetics and thus began a deeper love of not only golden skin but getting a glowing tan the healthy way. The sun does not discriminate and once I experienced melanoma through a loved one I knew I was destined to help people feel their most beautiful, but more importantly help them keep themselves safe from the searing sun.​

In 2018, after many years in all aspects of the beauty industry, I began my search for the perfect place that would allow me to do what I loved most: educate + interact with incredible clients all the while helping them feel the absolute most confident in their skin. Boom. There was Bronzmopolitan. When I began working at Bronzmo I fell in love with the Evolv Tan Products. Not only is the Evolv Tan formula paraben free, gluten free, vegan, and eco-friendly certified, Evolv is loaded with green tea, aloe vera, argan oil, tea tree oil and jojoba! Which is a huge deal to the esthetic professional that I am.

The previous owner of Bronzmopolitan, Bethany, was so awesome, she was such a wealth of knowledge when I started working here as a Spray Tan Artist, I soaked up every ounce of information she provided. I knew that this was not just going to be a new temporary position at the company. I knew this was where I was destined to be. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and I am so happy to announce that my husband and I are the new owners here at Bronzmopolitan Spray Tan Bar!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients for Bronzmo would be word of mouth! Reviews would be a close second. We believe its all about the experience and the final result! We want you to leave your cares at the door as we greet you with a chilly champagne all while receiving a warm, comfortable, customized and flawless airbrush tan! Walk out feeling better than when you walked in, every single time! Good customer service and experiences can be harder to come by now a days so when you find a place that leaves you feeling good, you talk about it to all your friends/fam! We love it!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Building a reputation in this industry can be pretty tough. I like to think we have a positive reputation as we have always been up front and honest with every decision or suggestions with clients. We are extremely transparent, we will always keep it real with you as we have your best interest and want you to look and feel your best! If we are guiding you towards a specific shade, trust us.
