We recently connected with Christopher Staff and have shared our conversation below.

Christopher, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

My story and dreams started when I was about 12. My first real haircut came from a barbershop in Little Rock, AR where I was born and raised. They had magazines you could read and the first one I read had the coolest barbershop in it! That’s when my dreams started and I knew that was my calling! So as I grew older, I got better at being a barber and I decided to go get my license to make some of the money I knew other barbers were making! I developed a love for it so my passion grew stronger in it! I knew it would work because of my faith and love I had for it! I started barber college in the end of 2016 and was done by 2017! I cut at a couple different shops before I knew God had other plans for me. In 2021, I stepped out on faith and opened my own barbershop and it’s been 4 years now and it’s grown with awesome clients and other staff members!

Christopher, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for them spreading the word about me and my business. We offer some of the best products out from stores clients have to have a license to get. We can do any style clients want. What I feel sets my shop apart from any other shop is that I play nothing but gospel/Christian music and the vibes are amazing. We are always laughing and our clients love it! So much I have 5 stars even after 4 years! I Thank God daily for blessing me!

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

So as anyone knows, you have to have money to make big moves such as opening a barbershop or whatever it is you love and have a passion for. While I was working at the other shops, I saved up over the years and when I felt I had enough saved up, I stepped out on faith after countless days/nights of prayer!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my audience and fans from doing live videos on social media and posting before and after pictures of the clients that allowed me to do so! For those that are just starting, just be patient and don’t give up even when you don’t feel it’s working! Trust me someone is always watching! Prayer always works! Just have faith and never give up!
