Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christopher Rapley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christopher, thanks for joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
When I decided to start a media company I was thinking about people with dreams and limited budgets. That led to the name RAPCO, Rising Above Poverty Conquer Oppression. Starting my business was delayed unfortunately due to my then-wife health issues and later death. In 2016 I got myself together and started living my dream of RAPCO MEDIA, LLC. However, later I realized that some of my business logic was flawed and needed to be changed to survive.

Christopher, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
When it comes to myself, my work, services & brand, it’s about bringing visions into view. If our client can see the vision RAPCO Media can bring it into reality. Our products are all about video production, from commercials to corporate training videos, documentaries, short films, and more. I take it very seriously, so seriously that I enrolled in the Full Sail University Digital Cinematography Program to be taught by some of the best in the business and education to better serve my clients.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When it comes to pivoting in business I’ve done it many times, however, the most important pivot was to stick to the video production business. When I first started I wanted to be an advertising agency, however, being an agency comes with a lot of responsibility which requires things that I’m not an expert in.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative person is working with clients who have a vision for their projects. Especially when giving a voice to espress that vision.
