Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christopher Noel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christopher, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.
Less is more. If I were to start photography over today, I would worry less about studio space, having the best equipment, followers on social media, and focus more on the art of photography by following my own creative guidance system. I would most certainly do market research to ensure my prices are competitive without lowballing my business for the sake of landing a client. On the creative side, I wouldn’t be so hesitant to film my solo film projects or create a photography series that highlights simple everyday objects, but making it cinematic, turning the ordinary, extraordinary. At the end of the day. I am a theater kid. I love the cinema. I love writing and I love creating.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’ve always been into the arts, all forms. Some of my early memories are filled with me being in school plays, illustrating a children’s book for a school project, playing multiple instruments in the school band, painting a mural for an Atlanta city park, or speaking in front of the student body during assembly. As I look back it makes sense that I now own Atlanta’s premier branding photography studio.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
There aren’t any resources I wish I knew about earlier in my creative journey. More so, I wish that I didn’t think so hard on next steps. Perfection gets in the way our progress every time. I would have most certainly leaned in on my creative urges instead of keeping them restraint.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My soul is driving my creative journey. I just want to share my creative works with the world. Should one day in the future I happen to be positively known for my contribution, then I can say that the hardships and delays meant something. On the flip side, if my work doesn’t reach outside of my current sandbox then I can say that no matter what, I honor my talents and so I share them with the world.
