We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christopher Kaiser. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christopher below.
Christopher, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I am very happy to be an artist. I am living my true life. I worked a regular job but I wasn’t happy working for someone else.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a self published author of 17 books and I am a poet. I have two open mics that I run and host of one every other month in St. Louis. I produce poetry shows as well. In addition that i work on podcast and internet radio shows and a part time photographer for events.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I just want to put my work out there and in hopes that I inspire others. We tell peoples stories all the time, we just don’t know it.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
People always see the finish product but never understand the process that I went through to get where we are now. Its a lot of time and thought put into my books. I have my good days and my bad days and I try my best to not let it take over my creativity. But everything works for various reasons in the writing world.
