Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christopher Jackson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christopher, thanks for joining us today. So, folks often look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight – but that often obscures all the nitty, gritty details of everything that went into the growth phase of your business. We’d love to hear about your scaling story and how you scaled up?
The biggest thing that stands out when you ask the question is “do it with love”. This has stuck with me from the beginning. When i started out i wanted to make it all about the connections with the restaurant and the people who took the time to watch, like and share my videos by being very interactive. Its easy to get just get caught up and just make a post and hope for the best. Looking back those connections along with improving my video making craft along the way has been very impactful for me and the brand. Being your authentic self and letting that shine through isn’t the easiest but i want when you run into me on the street to feel like you’ve known me for a long time.
Starting out the toughest thing to do was just press record. For almost two months i had the idea in my head and wanted to everything to be perfect before i realized that it never will be. So from the first post it was all about growing and improving. A strong passion and belief behind my channel carried me the rest of the way, even til this day 2 years later. It is so easy to take a break, doubt yourself when you are the only one liking you post and your videos are barely getting a couple hundred views. I owe a lot of it to my faith in god because the strong sense of purpose being fulfilled because i am a people person. Wanted to work with people being creative, supportive and positive for as long as a remember. Content creating checks those boxes.
Once i was a few months in i became much more comfortable behind the camera and could really let me true self shine through. Back to the idea of working with people i turned my focus to really letting the food speak for itself and show casing what that business has to offer. Speaking with more confidence and showing the food in its best light got my my first viral post. First thought was wow, what did people like about this video. I analyzed it and took away all that i could to use for future videos. This didn’t crack the code or anything because there has still been a lot of ups and downs but it gave me something to match my passion with what could really work and help me continue to grow. I mix my faith in god with consistency plus passion of supporting people to triumph over the doubt, the time consuming edits, the mistakes on posts, the negative comments, the sleepless nights and anything else that has slowed me down.
More businesses started reaching out for content and word of mouth has been a big part of it. I approach every client like its my biggest and try my best. Now there are clients who are scheduled out and i mix in a lot of content from places who i just want to go and show love to.

Christopher, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Christopher Jackson, not Jack like a lot of people think lol. Jackstacks comes from a nick name in a college ball day, it was just something fun from our era where stacks or stacking was trendy. I am a content creator who has a niche in food reviews. Going around reviewing all types of restaurants to shed light on what people have to offer. There are several formats of my content but was has grown my platform the most is my honest food reviews giving you my take on the taste of the different dishes. There is a school grade rating system that i use 1-10 where no one gets a 10. 9-9.9 is an A, 8-8.9 is a B, 7-7.9 is a C, 6-6.9 is a D with everything below just illustrating how bad it was for me. The ratings may set me apart but i think its more how i get those ratings by Never bashing a place and calling them horrible but focusing on what needs to improve with the flavors or textures so they can get a higher score. plus im a “nice guy” where i always understand that this is their place of business so im honest but respectful of their hard work. I am very authentic in my reviews and can honestly say you wont ever find me faking the funk for any of my ratings that i give out.
When watching my content I want to be hungry enough or adventurous enough to get out to try new places. I know how easy it is to stay within half a mile radius of your home or just be out of touch with all the food options in the city. My channel helps you explore and see where you want to eat based on looks mainly but also my experience to get you in your car to their restaurant. Thats the ultimate end goal for you to support these business owners who put in a lot of work to produce a great product for everyone.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media has taught me that you have to put the work in for growth. Just posting without a niche or a purpose can hender you in the long run. i built my community from consistency and always trying to improve the quality overall. you want your content to me informational, entertaining or relatable. If you can do all three consistently thats where most success if found. Trusting this along with frequent content to where people are looking for your next post is gold. Important to interact with your followers along the way to really build of a community. the more you post and the more chances you get for the people who are like minded or people who would like to follow you can discover you. Your community is out there, they just have to find you.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Setting goals in general is always a driving force. Write down all your goals and dont cross them off until you reach them. If there is a goal that includes more than just you, make sure they are on the same page and have them writtien down as well. team work makes the dream work. Firm believer that when you speak it in existence and work towards it that anything is possible.
