We recently connected with Christopher Harpe and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Innovation comes in all shapes, sizes and across all industries, so we’d love to hear about something you’ve done that you feel was particularly innovative.
In a culture where we are constantly digesting content and being sold on the latest greatest new thing, Open On Sunday, focuses on the stories behind the brands and products. Connecting audiences to your story creates “raving fans” who help push your brand/product to a larger audience, increasing opportunities for new and gained revenue.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
In 2020, I founded Open On Sunday, a platform showcasing local creatives through fashion, music, and arts. The brand grew to over a thousand followers in ninety days featuring over two hundred creatives from across Texas. Although trendy, the foundation of the brand was unstable sending me back home to my moms house in Killeen, Texas to regroup.
Fast forward I’m back in Dallas, where I’ve since relaunched Open On Sunday, as a Creative Agency servicing Brands and Corporations in search of revenue increase, through creative marketing engagement. I’ve learned that people don’t care what you’re presenting to them as much as they care about why… our team helps curate content around your why.
Full service production: Campaigns, Editorials, Live events, Social media, Project management, Graphic/Web design, and more.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
For my brand I’ve always tried to lay the foundation on genuineness. Anything else sets the client and even myself up for unrealistic expectations that neither of us can meet. The more honest and genuine I am about my brand the more the audience can connect to who I really am. Genuineness doesn’t require perfection just honesty— leading to clearer expectations and greater execution outcome.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When I initially created the social platforms for Open On Sunday, our brand went from 0 followers to 1200 in 90 days for 3 reasons:
Quality – the truth is that if the content isn’t good it’s very hard to gain the momentum required to build. It all starts and ends with great quality content.
Consistency – For Open On Sunday, Sunday is a very big day in our business, so we created the same momentum on social platforms through count downs, scheduled events, and post, every Sunday. The consistency gives your audience the ability to expect and schedule their lives around your content.
Collaboration – with intentionality, working together exposes your audience to the collaborator’s audience, increasing opportunities to gain new followers.
