Christopher, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?

The leagcy I hope create is one that shows the world you can work and be in the entertainment industry without compromising your integrity, creative spirit, love for people, and open-mindedness for the stories people can share which can resonate with anyone. Money comes with business but money shouldnt be the primary purpose for creating and being an artist of storytelling. I want to represent what great storytelling can be again when you prioritize substance over glamor.

Christopher, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Christopher L. Evans, born in Oakland, CA on December 16th, 1989, embarked on a journey that took him from Dewey High School to Texas Southern University, where he pursued a major in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Psychology. However, financial hardships led him to leave college. Returning to the Bay Area, he engaged in various jobs while contemplating his next steps. Driven by his deep love for music, Chris ventured into the world of rap, envisioning a career reminiscent of his musical idols such as Ice Cube, E-40, Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, and Jay-Z. Yet, as time passed, he realized that the persona reflected in his music did not truly align with who he was. This realization led him to explore other passions, including the music business, as well as photography and video production.

In 2015, he crossed paths with his close friend Josh Gray, a talented musician and producer, who saw in Chris the potential to be his manager and help shape his musical vision. Through trial and error, Chris honed his skills in talent development, photography, video production, and cinematography. Chris was signed to MMA RAW IMAGES as the Lead Video Producer and Associate Photographer in early 2023 by the owner, Octavio Castro. His expertise in visual storytelling and photographic composition has greatly contributed to the company’s dynamic multimedia content creation, establishing him as an indispensable asset within the team.

In 2008, he founded Royal West with the ambitious goal of creating a global entertainment empire. As 2024 unfolds, Chris has made substantial progress but remains poised for even greater achievements. The future brims with potential, and he eagerly anticipates unveiling his next ventures to the world. Stay tuned for what’s to come.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

My entrepreneurial journey began in the music industry, where I pursued a career as a rapper. However, I found that the music I was creating didn’t align with my personal values. As a result, I transitioned into talent management.

To reduce costs associated with content creation for my clients, I invested in a camera and dedicated myself to learning the skills of a professional cameraman. Today, I am able to offer both talent management and professional photography and videography services.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Launching a business from scratch without external funding can be challenging. Fortunately, my business model, focused on service delivery rather than physical goods, has allowed me to build a loyal clientele and reinvest profits into gradual growth.

While further investment is needed in production, careful financial management and continued client engagement will guide us towards our goals. I remain open to potential partnerships with investors who share our vision for Royal West Management and Productions’ future.
