We recently connected with Christopher Edwards (ChrisifiX) and have shared our conversation below.
ChrisifiX, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I grew up watching Wrestling with my grandfather and always wanted to be one someone. My Dad was a Wrestler. One day I was working at a gym and a local promoter walked in asking to put up a poster for his Wrestling school and we got to talking and made a deal where I’d train him in the gym if he’d train me to wrestle.
ChrisifiX, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After a few months of training, I had my first match. Before hand, everyone told me that I wasn’t ready or good enough. No one supported me or believed on me. After paying my dues and learning the ropes ( literally) I started traveling across the country to Wrestle. I was ranked in the top 500 wrestler’s on the world by Pro Wrestling illustrated 7 years in a row. I’ve Wrestled for the WWE ( the word’s largest wrestling company) multiple times . I’ve even be on AEW ( the 2nd largest wrestling company) one week I was on both brands TV shows witch was unheard of. I went from being told that I’m not good enough to working with guys like, Ric Flair, Brock Lesner, the Undertaker, Triple H, and more. My dream is to work full time with the NWA ( national wrestling alliance) they have the best wrestling on the planet and it’s where I belong. I just had my first match with them in Nashville TN and praying it’s just the start.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I have the ability to make people forget whatever they’re dealing with at home, work , school ect . While I’m in that ring, I can make you happy, mad, sad, excited, all the emotions as they except their own issues y losing themselves in the story I’m telling on them ring.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
To make my father proud of me.
