We recently connected with Christopher Dorn and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher , thanks for joining us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
My journey began like many others through sports. I played football for a long time before I ever took training in the gym seriously. Although football involved weightlifting, I never truly enjoyed it. After my time on the field ended, I shifted my focus to the gym as a way to find the next chapter in my life.
Even though football was behind me, things didn’t take off until three years later when I decided to have fun with lifting weights instead of following traditional training methods. Day one of anything is never easy, but looking back, I believe that if I had focused more on the gym during my playing days, I could have sped up my progress.

Christopher , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a strength trainer who gained notoriety in the fitness industry through my unorthodox lifting style. My goal is to help others build strength by providing free tips and advice on improving performance and preventing injuries. What sets me apart is my direct approach. I focus on identifying and solving problems rather than just selling programs. What I’m most proud of is being a reliable role model for the younger generation, someone they can look up to and trust.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
What drives me is proving to myself that I can do what I say. The lifts I perform are a form of creativity, yet they are often deemed fake or impossible by the public eye. Proving that the impossible is possible is what keeps me going.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Oftentimes, running a business and being a creator can be taxing on both the mind and body. Things might be great one minute and terrible the next, but I understand that I must make this happen not just for myself, but for those who depend on me. Quitting is not an option when success is the only option.
