We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christopher Davis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope to be remembered for the positive impact I made on the lives of those around me. I want people to say that I was kind, hardworking, generous, and always willing to help others. I hope my contributions to my community and the relationships I built will leave a lasting impression. Ultimately, I want to be remembered for making a difference, no matter how small, and for inspiring others to do the same.”

Christopher, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well for those that don’t know I am Christopher Davis from Hazlehurst, Mississippi and I own a trucking company that’s 100% military owned.. I served 8 years in the Army and as my time came to an end I figured I wanted to create a business that not only help me but others as well.. Give them a opportunity to feel respected and needed.. Working previous jobs for someone that really doesn’t appreciate the time someone puts in for a company and feel unappreciated in my experiences in the past was a perfect opportunity for me to branch off and no longer work for anyone else.. That energy I put forth in somone’s else company I could be using that energy to establish my own company and do right by the people that work for me.. This business will transport good and services all over the world if they allow us to do so.. With respect and hard work I fill as if it will be a company that treats its workers as part of a family.. The brand and name of the company is Zilla Logistcis LLC named after the one and only Reginald Jones, my younger brother who passed away.. I told myself everything I do, it will be for him and I will forever keep that name alive..

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
This is simple.. Just be honest, fair and a decent human being.. It cost nothing to be yourself and respect the next person. People will automatically want to follow you and be around you..

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that everyone is out here to help you., Nothing will fall in your lap and if you want something do the research and go after it on your own.. Educate yourself and motivate those around you to elevate..
