We were lucky to catch up with Christopher Chavez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I knew when I wanted to pursue music and art professionally. When I was a child. I’ve always had an affinity for the artistic side of life. I’ve always enjoyed being a part of the artistic side of life.
From choir and art classes as a child to throwing large-scale events in my home city, I knew from the time I was young that I was meant for something great meant for something larger than what the standard person was going to be given.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I became an official part of the music scene around 2016 and in that time. Boise Idaho didn’t have anything but a couple of hookah bars to throw parties in and then house parties of coarse.
From running flyers to setting up events it was all so grass roots back then that we did the best with what we had. But this and many other things helped me to build my reputation in my community. Making connections and networking to build, what I thought, was my empire.
At some point along the way I would end up attending an event in boise idaho that was called “Sensory Illumination” at first glance it was like a party that the great Gatsby would throw! Delving deeper I would find a part of my sould that still burns bright to this day.
I meet these two people at this event and they invite me back to their place for an after party. I didn’t know it then, but this after party would change the scope of how my future would look forever.
I spend some time there when the woman asks me. “What is it you would like to do with your life?” I take some time and think about it. “I’m not too sure if I’m being honest” she asks “well what are you good at?” I tell her “i am great at throwing parties.” And she asks me “why not throw a music festival?”
*explosion sounds go off in my head.
Up until then I hadn’t even pictured myself as able to achieve anything close to as amazing as that!
It was in that moment, it’s was that conversation, that gave me the belief that I could actually pull this off and in that moment the first rough draft of the oasis was born called “The four pillars of enlightnment” a 3 day 4 night immersive art and music experience. I get to work and start laying the plans out on paper. Detailing everything I want on the property. Connecting with painters, stage managers, and musicians I was able to start gaining some real headway!
Of coarse. Life has a funny way of letting you have things once you are ready for them. So my plans went uncompleted for about 2 or 3 years. I worked different jobs and had many downs. Working my way into the community I loved so much gaining bonds with people and attending events so that I could find a better scope on how to throw this thing.
I meet my now business partner Greg Hart at a local music festival called konnexion. I didn’t know it then but we would make some big moves together in the future. We foster our friendship and we end up eventually quitting out jobs to start a trucking compliance company. At the exact same time we end up with a unique chance.
Greg gets a call from a friend and they want to know if we can throw a party out on this property outside mountain home. Greg and I chat and by that time he had already seen my plans for the four pillars. We reach out to the community. “Would you all attend if we threw a 3 day banger for you?”
Mind you this is 2020. The hight of the covid rollout and people have been scared. But hell if we are going to let that stop us. I mean Woodstock was thrown during a global pandemic so why couldn’t we do the same?!
We jump through the covid restrictions hoops to make sure everyone has distance and sanitizer and masks if they want them.
Not one person wanted anything we gave for covid protection. I mean we for sure offered it but no one was using those things. They where there to connect. They where there to be a part of their family they where there because to put it frankly. There wasn’t shit else for them to do besides stay home.
Year one goes off, but not without its issues. A micro burst storm ripped through our camp and made things quite interesting to say the least. Tents and canopies in the air chaos insuing all around. Lol it was like the wizard of ozz threw a festival.
But our community held it tf down. Coming to eachothers aid. Helping to hold down camps and put back together the wreckage. This was the year of community togetherness. And we did just that. Came together.
In the midst of all this I started created video content on social media and growing my audience in a different way. Spreading love and positive energy along with humor and smiles. My goal in my content creation is to show people that no matter how hard life can be. It is a blessing and we are lucky to even get the chance to experience it. From affirmation to jokes I try to provide usefull tools for people to handle their day to day. Even if it is just a giggle.
I am most proud of my resilience. My unwillingness to quit. And my ability to handle stressful situations. These things lay the groundwork for me to feel happy every day I wake up.
I am grateful. For the opportunities that have been given and I will forever be grateful for the people in my life who have helped me to understand that I can be greater than I ever imagined.
I am a man of many different layers. I am an ever evolving spirit enjoying the human experience.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Ahhhh the social media growth. Yup that is something if a mystery to me still to this day. I would like to say that I made a video and it popped off and boom.
But that’s just not true. It takes months sometimes years of posting content before you even get 1000 people to see it outside your friend base. It gets discouraging and lord if it doesn’t drag you down some days.
The key is consistency. Posting at the very least once a week. If you increase the frequency of posts your likelihood of being seen grows exponentially. Another main key is understanding your target audience. Who are you talking to? Who is your message for? Do you have a message? These are all imperative things to know if you want people to follow you. How would anyone want to follow someone who has no idea where they are going?

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes. My goal is to show the world that through art we can have all things. Our lives are filled with these ideas that are given to us about how we are supposed to be. How we are supposed to act. How successful we should be and by what time.
Throw that shit out the window. There is no timeline. If you just focus on creating then you will find your joy. Do your best to focus on your journey and by nature others will be attracted to it.
I believe the goal in life is to achieve pure love for all things. I think art is the perfect Segway to the existence.
