Christopher , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

My name is Christopher Breedlove, and my company name is Breedlove Services. The company is named after my last name to carry my parent’s legacy. In the spring, we are adding coaching and wellness services to our umbrella company hence “Breedlove Services.”

Who are we?

Breedlove Services is a luxurious boutique social media agency based in the metro Detroit area. We have over five years of experience helping clients expand their online presence organically while strengthening their brand awareness. Our agency specializes in Instagram & Tik-Tok marketing.

New York, Los Angeles, and Singapore are common areas where our clientele is based. We know how social media can cause a lot of stress for business owners. At Breedlove Services, we pride ourselves on offering hands-free social media management to relieve stress and give business owners more time.

Our clients have been on shows such as NBC’s ‘The Voice and ABC’s Duets.’ We have experience managing: artists, nonprofits, doctors, restaurants, and more. We are highly skilled in adaptability.

How we differ from other social media agencies?

We only service a limited amount of clientele per year and typically work with seasoned business owners. Our goal as a boutique agency is to cater to every detail of a client’s social media account. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

It all started when I began a part-time job doing social media marketing for a market research company. My goal was to gain experience to land a prominent corporate position in the social media field. The only challenge was that I didn’t have enough experience. Everywhere I applied, I was denied. Finally, I was tired of getting rejected and decided to create a social media business with one of my colleagues in June 2017. In the beginning stages, we were lowballing ourselves. We ran social media accounts for less than $300 for three months’ worth of work for about five months when starting out and barely profiting.

Our reasoning with the pricing was that our first two clients were verified artists, and we knew that would help add to our portfolio by running these accounts. After starting with two celebrity accounts, we eventually began running various types of client’s social media, from cannabis companies to film studios. —About six months into the start of the business, my colleague and I decided to part ways business-wise, and I decided to keep building the business. I eventually changed our old company name BCB Media Consulting, to our current name Breedlove Services.

Breedlove Services is named after my last name. My name is Christopher Breedlove. Fast forward to now, I am running multiple corporate business social media accounts and building content for small businesses and entrepreneurs. As I reflect, I went from being denied a position to creating my own. Five years ago, compared to today, I went from $300 3-month projects to $15,000 6-month projects.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Personally speaking, I think producing quality work that yielded results is what helped my reputation in the social media space. As a result, we have retained most of our clientele for over two years. In addition, my previous mentor shared her stellar network with me to help me get my business out there via word of mouth.
