We were lucky to catch up with Christon Bush recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christon, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
Engaging with the right audience. often we find ourselves – the people in the music industry – spending their efforts just to reach ears of someone who isn’t interested in the beginning about our services.
Christon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We own three music studios across the southeast now and publish for hit acts like American Hip Hop Duo Black Fuchsia, M.B.S. & more. Our last year and a half were spent properly producing authentic projects and conceptual merch for our fans in preparation for a surprising 2023!
We’ve come a long way learning how to develop connections with other artists in the area, coming together to throw successful shows and generate income for the independent artists involved in hopes of signing on new acts soon. The biggest thing is growth through collaboration because not so rarely do I find myself passing on information with the potential to change lives to artists who have no idea is a but squint away. The keys to success are out there and they’re no longer gatekept; it just takes getting after them each and every day.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
“Never mind the numbers.” The initial reach starting out for most who are new to social media marketing like we once were, can yield demoralizing returns….at first. Everyone has that subconscious expectation to go viral off of one announcement post when the focus should always be on consistency to the vision and amount of attention placed into the art.
The cool thing about the internet is the numbers never stay the same anyway – over time at least.

The whole beauty of our approach is the ownership factor. From fabric to customizing to recording and publishing, we have complete control over how expressive our products are because we host them on our own domain (https://bio.site/bxsco) and produce close to everything in-house.
