We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christine Thorpe a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Christine, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission of Stronger Tomorrow is to foster a supportive and optimized workplace which serves to influence and reshape wellness through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion. Stronger Tomorrow utilizes The 8 Dimensions of Wellness as the framework of our business model to build support systems and community. We utilize golf as a mega-wellness activity and the driving force behind building community, generational legacy, enhancing the quality of life physically and mentally, and providing an opportunity to get out of one’s comfort zone.
The 8 dimensions of Wellness developed by Dr. Margaret Swarbrick (2006), and consists of:
Physical
Emotional
Spiritual
Environmental
Financial
Social
Intellectual
Occupational
Stronger Tomorrow takes these dimensions beyond the individual to include the collective because we recognize that it takes a support system to build and sustain the dimensions wellness. Our position on the value of the collective is at the heart of our mission because there is strength in community and it is shown when we experience life challenges. The power of the human collective is illustrated in our natural gravitation to the protection and security of a group, be it our family, friends, or shared-interest organizations. Every single human being is part of some collective whether we realize it or not. There is great value to our wellness in being part of a collective, a value that enables us to benefit from the insight of those who are valuable members of our trusted circle.
In order to build community and incorporate the physical, emotional, environmental as well as other aspects of the 8 dimensions, workshops and master classes are provided with a focus on golf and wellness for women in business and leadership. Currently, golf is being used as the vehicle of change and the driving force behind building dialogue pertaining to generational legacy and emotional support. This is extremely important with the various hats business owners and leaders wear in their everyday lives because it provides an opportunity for physical movement, as well as a chance for some to get out of their comfort zones and engage outside of their business.
Christine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I started Stronger Tomorrow in 2017 promoting physical wellness among diverse women. By introducing fitness activities with an interesting twist such as Masala Bhangra, IntenSati, or spiritual yoga, we created awareness of the different way to engage in fitness outside of the typical gym membership. After hosting a few events, and coaching clients, we evolved into workplace wellness consulting during the pandemic to help organizations with their transition to a virtual and hybrid work environments. The wellness of employees was so critical for our clients, particularly female leadership. The feedback provided indicated that more was needed for them to feel less overwhelmed and more whole while managing both their personal and professional lives. My own desire for the same, while also experiencing the double impact of racism and sexism as a woman in leadership, propelled me to take the leap and focus on my business full-time. There continues to be a great need for women in business and leadership to not just survive, but thrive in their work with respect to who they are and how they show up each day.
Last year I started running Mastermind Groups that have been successful in helping the participants to hone into their goals across the dimensions of wellness.
