We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christine Smith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christine below.
Christine, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I used to be overweight in my 20’s! I was at my all-time highest weight of 250 lbs. in 2014. I was working a computer job sitting all day and no longer was active. I was a soccer player growing up and stayed active but after college I continued to eat whatever I wanted but with no activity the weight creeped on! I realized I had to make changes! I tried a bunch of fad diets so I would go extreme, lose weight but then gain it back! It was when I decided to hire my very first coach to teach me sustainable lifestyle habits where I learned it’s not about a diet but having a healthier relationship with food! This inspired me to educate myself and I decided to become certified as a personal trainer so I can help other women who are out there struggling or feel the need to be restricted with food, I want to help those to have a better relationship with food and build sustainable lifestyle habits! I have lost the weight and kept off 80+ lbs. in a healthy way through strength training and while building a better relationship around food!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I offer online coaching for women clients who want to stop dieting and create a healthy relationship around the food they eat! I want them to enjoy being active to improve their health! If they hire me as a coach I will be available to them everyday through call/text/email! They will have access to educational resources I have created in my ConFITence program and a personalized workout app with exercises customized for each woman! I do also offer in-home training for anyone local!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I began growing my business with announcing on social media, mainly Instagram! I also have networked with some local companies and began teaching group fitness classes, so this is another great way to build connections and spread the word of what I have to offer!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with all clients through social media, text messaging, zoom meetings, and/or in person if local! I encourage them to allow me to share their success stories and it’s a way for them to build confidence with seeing and honoring their accomplishments! It isn’t always about weight loss, there are other wins that I love to share and build loyalty amongst clients!
