Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Saenz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christine , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
Looking back, I do wish I had started sooner. I spent so many years listening to the negativity around being a creative—the idea that it wasn’t a ‘real’ career, that it wasn’t practical or sustainable. I let those voices shape my choices for far too long.
For years, I poured my energy into corporate America , always creating on the side but never allowing myself to believe it could be more than a hobby. I convinced myself that stability mattered more than fulfillment. But the truth is, creativity has always been at the core of who I am, and I wish I had trusted that sooner.
If I had started earlier, I think I would have given myself more time to grow, to experiment without pressure, to build something slowly and intentionally. But at the same time, I know I came into this when I was truly ready . when I had the life experience, the resilience, and the confidence to push past the doubts.
So while I do wish I had started sooner, I’m also deeply grateful to be here now, doing what I love. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that it’s never too late to choose the path that feels right.

Christine , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who don’t know me,Im Christine , an artist and maker who finally gave myself permission to fully embrace my creativity after years of putting it on the back burner. Like many creatives, I absorbed the negativity around pursuing art as a career. the idea that it wasn’t ‘practical’ or ‘sustainable.’ But deep down, I knew that making things with my hands, playing with color and form, and bringing ideas to life was where I felt most at home.
Now, I focus on creating art that brings joy, comfort, and a sense of connection. My work spans different mediums, including painting, ceramics, and resin pieces. I love exploring color, texture, and playfulness in my design. whether it’s a hand-painted floral piece, a small sculptural object, or a functional ceramic piece that adds beauty to everyday life.
What sets my work apart is the heart behind it. Every piece is created with intention, whether it’s a reminder to keep going, a moment of lightness, or an invitation to slow down and appreciate the small things. I believe art isn’t just about For those who don’t know me, I’m an artist and maker who finally gave myself permission to fully embrace my creativity after years of putting it on the back burner. I spent much of my career in corporate America, always creating in the margins of my life, but never quite believing that art could be more than just a hobby. I’m most proud of the fact that I took the leap—of trusting my creative voice, of sharing my work with the world, and of continuing to grow in my practice. More than anything, I want people to know that creativity is worth pursuing, that there’s space for imperfection and play, and that it’s never too late to choose the path that feels right. when you create or surround yourself with things that resonate.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve built my reputation by staying true to my creative voice and sharing my journey authentically. Consistency, community, and connection have played a huge role, whether through social media, or simply engaging with people who resonate with my work. I believe what sets me apart is the heart behind my pieces—each one carries intention, playfulness, and a belief in art as a form of healing and self-expression. More than just objects, I want my work to bring joy, connection, and a sense of possibility

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Creativity doesn’t wait for perfect conditions, you have to make space for it. When I was without a studio, I drove across town just to work with clay. Now, when visitors take over my space, I steal moments wherever I can. It’s not always easy, but it’s taught me resilience and the importance of showing up for my art no matter what. If you love what you do, you find a way and the work still gets made.
