We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christine Roebuck. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christine below.
Hi Christine , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My journey towards debt freedom began after making many wrong choices in my young adult life, which led to a desperate decision to start making the right choices. I was 19 years old with 13 credit cards and they were all maxed out and I was stressed out. Living paycheck to paycheck was not the lifestyle that I desired. Everything I had attempted to do to get out of the grip of debt failed until I heard biblical teaching on getting out of debt God’s way.
My journey continued by studying and learning more about what God had to say about money. I began reading books and various money magazines to become the best student of my finances. I became debt-free within four years by applying biblical principles and my professional knowledge in finance, changing my behaviors, and adjusting my thought process. Three years later, it seemed as though the pattern of becoming over-extended began to repeat itself. I realized that a debt-free life is a stress-free life and decided once again to return to God’s way of managing my finances and re-implement simple behavioral changes shared in my blogs.
Over 20 years ago, my husband and I had accumulated over $100K of credit card debt and decided to start digging our way out. We have changed our view about money, continuing to apply biblical principles, exchanging bad behaviors with new good behaviors, “STOPPED CHARGING,” and that debt has been paid in FULL!
Live My Life Debt Free’s mission is to empower people to live debt-free lives by applying correct principles and simple behavioral changes that will transform their family’s quality of living for generations.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a financial strategist with a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Practical Theology. Over 30 years of combined experience in banking and finance, teaching, financial counseling, and mentoring. I use my expertise and life experiences to guide others out of the maze of the grip of debt. Having been deep in debt at 19 with 13 credit cards that were all maxed out, I used knowledge gained through biblical principles to break free from debt.
In addition, I am an ordained minister and obtained a small group certification through Crown Ministries. My favorite things to do are serving in ministry, teaching, traveling abroad, horseback riding, spending time with my family, and taking long walks on the beach.
I aim to meet every individual where they are, regardless of socio-economic status, to transform their journey from not-so-good to great. Over the years, I have provided avenues and resources for my audience to match their learning style. Proven techniques that get results for my clients are provided through online courses, one-on-one, financial coaching services, a coaching subscription, in-person workshops, and Zoom. The problems I solve for my clients create generational wealth, transform the lives of families, and save marriages.
Wealth transformation cannot happen without developing good money management skills and a mindset shift that sustains a wealth builder when there is a temptation to start digging into debt. I am most proud that my brand has reached more than 60 countries and counting. We are known for educating, empowering, and equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools to succeed. We are known for getting results and equipping wealth builders and other potential clients across my social media platforms, churches, colleges, high schools, and employees and businesses to maintain control of their money instead of their money controlling them.
Every blog, and content on social media platforms are designed to uplift, encourage, educate, and, most of all, create a safe environment for anyone seeking like-minded to discuss real-life issues and find life-changing solutions. I use my expertise to engage in dialogues because I genuinely care about each individual concern, and hardship. Behind every problem is a life waiting to be transformed. Therefore, I do everything possible to help my organization get the results they desire and deserve.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Five years ago, I experienced a shift in business where I am a co-founder and relocation and entered the final year of a Master’s program simultaneously. Being new to the area, I developed new relationships. So, it felt like I was starting from scratch, but it was refreshing. I visited a local church and enjoyed it so much that I kept going back and eventually joined. The year after the relocation, COVID happened. This is when a major pivot took place. I could no longer hold financial workshops in hotels, churches, other businesses, or schools or have face-to-face meetings with my clients. Quitting on my calling was not an option. The senior pastor’s vision of that church was to have a debt-free congregation. So, through the support of the Bishop and pastor of my local church, I taught via Zoom for an entire year. Several church members received results such as increased credit scores, paid off and paid down debt, and developed good money management skills.
Soon, I started receiving calls from college professors to teach as a guest presenter, taught for other church ministries and was a guest speaker among other CEOs. All invitations were via Zoom. I realized that wasn’t my final pivot. I received an e-mail per my request to keep me informed of upcoming webinars. Finally, in an effort to take a final look at what was offered, I watched the webinar, and it changed my perspective on my delivery to my audience. I realized that the change needed to provide better options for students and help them get results from home was in front of me.
I took a course creator’s five-week challenge and created online courses that offered privacy and flexibility that my clients could utilize in their homes. Not everyone enjoys talking about money. For some, it’s embarrassing and emotionally difficult to bear their soul. As a result of that second pivot, online courses, conference calls, and Zoom meetings are now the choices for receiving financial coaching through our organization. Not all pivots are bad but necessary.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Honesty, consistency, and genuinely caring about people and the results they need and want built my reputation in my perspective market. I realize that I am my brand. People tend to buy the person before they are interested in what you offer. My followers get exactly what they see on my platforms and in person. I am transparent and open. I have found that building trust requires honesty. My story is public. I have not always had things together financially, and I believe that knowing who I am and my struggles ease the stress and tension of discussing difficult money matters.
Another thing that helped build my reputation in this market is that I show up consistently. My organization can expect to hear from me regularly, and they can expect to gain knowledge and support in meeting their goals. I celebrate every milestone that consistently increases the morale among the wealth-builder community.
