Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Moum.. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christine, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I currently manage my own social media platforms as I like to have full control of what I post and that why I am engaging with my audiences directly. However, this doesn’t mean I won’t consider hiring someone in the future once I have a larger audience.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
When I was younger I was always interested in the entertainment industry. Although I have learned a lot over the years and I know that the industry is not perfect, in a way I am living my childhood dreams. I started going viral on social media in 2020 and as I continued creating content, I fell in love with the process and instantly knew that I was meant to do this. I love engaging with my audiences, I love sharing parts of my life (the good and the bad). My goal is to inspire others to follow their dreams and what they love doing. The industry comes with many challenges, but that’s what every career/business is all about. Learning to overcome challenges and learning more about the business. What many people don’t know is that nothing was ever handed to me and I have worked really hard to be as successful as I am today and I am just starting.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
No matter what you do people will judge you. I used to let negative comments get to me and I had to unlearn that and learn to not let negativity get to me. I was bullied growing up and I had to learn how to stand up for myself and it goes the same way on social media, I had to learn that negative comments do not identify us and who we are. People are going to talk and judge no matter what you do, so do what you think is right and love.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The power of 1 more, the magic of thinking big & manifest now and a lot of podcasts from Youtube from different entrepreneurs.
