We recently connected with Christine Hart and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Christine thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
When I first started my law firm things took off fast. With very minimal marketing and a virtual office, I began getting a decent influx of clients the first few weeks. But after those few weeks things started to slow down. A key point from one of my favorite books came to mind. In The Richest Man in Babylon, the author stated (paraphrased) that early success was just a glimpse of what could be. And from those first few weeks, I knew what could be…
I began planning for growth before I even saw it. Passing out cards to people at the gas station as I pumped gas, going to networking events and curtailing my craft by learning everything that I possibly could. I wanted to give my future clients the best possible experience. I didn’t kinow what type of law I wanted to practice, but I knew my law practice would be one of distinction.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Christine Hart, an estate planning and real estate attorney. I made my way to Charlotte about 7 years ago and I fell in love with the city. My last year of law school I assisted former homeowners who had lost their homes to predatory lending. This opportunity allowed me to reaffirm my passion for law and my longing to represent those who were unable to represent themselves.
Although I was always intrigued by real estate law, I later became sold that I wanted to pursue real estate and estate planning during my time working with a non profit that assisted heirs of inherited property with clearing title and making their land profitable. One factor that reigned true amongst the heirs and their family members was the absence of estate planning. My mission is educating homeowners on the importance of protecting their assets and leaving a legacy for their family and generations to come.
I want my clients and followers to know that you do not have to be a millionaire to start protecting your assets and planning for your family’s future. You just need to be an individual who cares about their own wellbeing and that of their family and the generations to come. Planning is apart of our daily lives and it should be a focal point to plan how we want our assets to be protected and distributed, whether little or large in our own eyes.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My business partner and I actually met while working in corporate America together. We found out that we both had law degrees and I shared that I had started my own firm and was doing a few personal injury cases on the side. We decided to partner up and the rest is history. I think one thing about us that clicked, other that us both being from SC, was the fact that we had the same drive for more. We knew that we didn’t want to confirm to the 9-5 corporate America rat race. We wanted something of our own that we could potentially pass to our respective families.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I believe the most effective strategy for growing my clientele is providing my clients with a customized experience. That includes personalized experiences and educated clients. I never want my clients to feel like they are just another number. With that, I go above and beyond to make sure when they visit our office, it’s an experience like none other. A lot of my practice focuses on the purchase of real estate. I try to make this experience a memorable one. I want them to leave my office raving to their realtor, friends, and family members about their experience. Although the experience has to be top tier, I also want my clients to leave my law firm educated. This wealth of knowledge they’ve gained should not only impact their lives but the lives of their friends and family.
