One of the biggest trends I’ve been noticing lately in the health, wellness, and weight loss industry is the proliferation of fad diets promoted by influencers on social media. These diets often advocate extreme measures like fasting, severe calorie restriction, or cutting out entire food groups, I’ve seen firsthand the detrimental effects these trends can have on people’s health.
One in particular that comes to mind involves a client who came to me after following a popular influencer’s advice to cut out all carbohydrates in order to lose weight quickly. Despite initially shedding a few pounds, my client soon began experiencing fatigue, irritability, and difficulty concentrating. After reviewing her diet and lifestyle, it became evident that her body was lacking essential nutrients and energy sources due to the extreme restriction of carbohydrates.
Upon further examination, we discovered that her hormonal balance was completely thrown off, leading to disruptions in her metabolism and mood regulation. It took months of careful reintroduction of balanced nutrition and hormone-regulating strategies to help her regain her health and achieve sustainable weight loss.
This trend highlights the dangers of taking health advice from unqualified individuals on social media who may not fully understand the complexities of human physiology and metabolism. While these fad diets may offer short-term results, they often come at the expense of long-term health and well-being.

My journey into this field began with a deep-rooted desire to help others improve their health and vitality. As a registered holistic nutritionist, certified personal trainer, and yoga teacher, I bring a unique blend of knowledge and experience to my practice.
I provide a comprehensive three-month virtual weight loss program called “Balancing Hormones, Shedding Pounds: A 3-Month Program for Sustainable and Successful Weight Loss for Busy Women.” In this program, I work closely with my clients to address hormonal imbalances, focus on sustainable weight loss strategies, and cultivate a balanced approach to nutrition and exercise.

I show them that achieving sustainable health and weight loss is a journey and a lifestyle, rather than a quick fix or a temporary challenge. This transparency and authenticity not only build trust with my audience but also inspire them to take action towards their own health goals.
Additionally, I prioritize providing valuable content and education through my social media platform. By sharing informative and engaging content, I establish myself as a trusted authority in the field of hormonal weight loss and attract clients who are seeking sustainable solutions.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has been the community engagement initiatives I’ve implemented, particularly through my Facebook community groups, free fitness classes, and masterclasses. By creating these platforms for women to connect, learn, and support each other on their health journeys, I’ve been able to foster a strong sense of community and trust.
Running two Facebook community groups has allowed me to reach a wider audience and provide valuable resources and support to women seeking to improve their health. These groups serve as a space for members to ask questions, share experiences, and receive guidance from myself and other like-minded individuals.
Hosting free fitness classes not only gives women an opportunity to prioritize their physical well-being but also introduces them to my approach to holistic health and weight loss. These classes serve as a way to connect with potential clients in a low-pressure environment and showcase my expertise in action.
In addition, holding free masterclasses on topics related to hormonal balance, nutrition, and sustainable weight loss has been an effective way to attract new clients. These masterclasses provide valuable education and insight while also positioning me as an authority in my field.
