We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christine Frey a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Christine thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I truly understand that life is short and every moment we have is precious. If we are blessed to celebrate 100 birthdays, that’s still not long enough to learn all of our soul lessons. We are here to evolve and grow into better versions of ourselves while leaving the world a much better place than we found it. That’s exactly why I became a Shaman! I firmly believe that we need to be kinder, more tolerant and deeply appreciative of one another, and remember that we are souls living in our human bodies doing the best we know how to. As a Shaman, I have created a safe space for people to receive healing spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, and the tools to better take care of themselves. I hope my legacy is that people felt heard, respected and valued while processing their soul lessons and evolving into the best version of themselves. I believe when people are treated this way that they will do the same for others. Life can be so challenging at times, and one simple act of kindness and consideration can change someone’s life. Thank you!
Christine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Her mission is to facilitate transformational awareness through profound growth and healing for survivors of trauma, including domestic violence and sexual assault in her private practice, Centerpoint Healing Services Inc. Christine is a best-selling author, domestic violence and sexual assault advocate, and she is prepared to help you on your journey of healing while discovering joy, hope and blessings in your life. Centerpoint Healing Services is a safe space for all humans seeking growth and healing-spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Christine is very grateful for her life journey and the healing tools she is gifted with. As a survivor of 49 years of domestic violence, incest, sexual assault and sexual trafficking, she has overcome many challenges, and has evolved into a stronger, kinder, more resilient, courageous, and grateful woman. Christine is determined to spend the rest of her life helping others find, and see, the person they are meant to be while releasing what’s holding them back. When people release what’s holding them back, they then reclaim their personal power and step firmly onto the path of their transformative journey. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I almost died twice. I understand trauma. heartache and loss. I understand not feeling safe, loved, wanted and cared for. Most of my life I have felt isolated, terrified, always on guard and very safety conscious. My father was an abusive alcoholic who made our family fearful and unsafe. My mother had unhealed trauma and was very codependent to my father. My parents fought terribly and they were two broken people in a violent marriage. M mother never knew freedom and I watched her lose her passion, autonomy, playfulness and sense of self as my siblings and myself grew up. Also, I didn’t realize I would grow up and raise my precious children with this destructive pattern. I married two men who closely resembled my father, and I continued to live fearfully and destructively in dangerous marriages while raising children. My parents died in a house fire on my birthday almost 9years ago. I am very grateful that we developed a loving close relationship where we accepted accountability, culpability and forgiveness. My second husband died three years later from end-stage liver disease from alcoholism and drug abuse. It took 49 years for me to finally get out of my own way and get professional help. Accepting responsibility for my actions, my unhealthy roles in all of my relationships. forgiveness for myself and others has been cathartic. Leaning into my faith, emotionally mature safe people, good friends and my healing work has brought me to a life of thriving, not merely surviving. I am grateful for my story and my life, and I am grateful the opportunity to help you. Thank you!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think that my integrity, respect and compassion for others has helped me build my reputation within my market. Everyone has a story to share, and I firmly believe that it is an honor and a privilege to create a safe space where people share their story with me. To make someone feel safe enough, valued and not judged while pouring out their struggles, heartbreak, frustration and raw pain to me is my goal for very client. I believe every healing session with me should leave my clients feeling that I am completely truthful, always practicing confidentiality, full of integrity and grace for them to heal on their terms and on their unique timeline. I am a Shaman, and as a Shaman, I am a channel for helping to heal people spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically and I give people the tools and aftercare they need to take responsibility for their healing. I always tell my clients that they are not responsible for their trauma, however they are responsible for their healing. I also tell people that no one knows you and your life better than you, and that means you have to do the work to heal yourself while learning to practice acceptance, accountability, compassion, forgiveness, and grace for yourself and others. I am here for you, I believe in you and you are not alone. Thank you!
