Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Connell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I realized I wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally when I was in law school, and needed some extra money. It seemed like the most natural way to create a stream of income based on my lifestyle. I would consider myself very left-brained, and never enjoyed or was good at art growing up. I still wouldn’t say I’m a great photographer, but I’m as good as I’ll ever be at something artistic! Now it’s a great creative outlet for me. It encourages me to be creative an use my right brain. I think doing it professionally is what motivates me to continue creating. If I didn’t have that incentive, I probably wouldn’t make time for it – and creativity is important!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a full-time lawyer, and a travel influencer/creative on the side. I show my travels and adventures on my social media channels and blog and I create content primarily for outdoor and travel brands and tourism boards.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I’m probably in the minority of creators out there, but I really don’t understand the value of NFTs. I know a lot of people are doing really well and it’s a very popular space, but it’s not something I’m at all interested in.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Connecting with other creatives! I’m an introvert, but have been able to make friends and connect with other creatives across the world.
