We were lucky to catch up with Christina Sims recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission began during one of the most challenging moments of my life. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance after medical staff could not locate my son’s heartbeat. After his heartbeat flatlined for a second time, I was immediately put under for an emergency Caesarean section. By the grace of God, my son survived. However, exactly one month later, I was required to return to work or risk losing my job. I sacrificed precious moments I could never get back and my own recovery to secure my family’s future. Despite my sacrifices and success in my role, I was laid off just a few years later.
That experience shook me to my core and awakened a realization that ignited this whole journey. I realized how often women, especially mothers, are forced to choose between their families and their careers. I wanted to break that wheel.
I channeled my pain into action. Drawing from my experience leading $50M brands and my passion for technology, I founded Precision Edge AI to help women reclaim their time and redefine what success looks like. My mission is to equip women founders to integrate AI into their businesses, not just to scale, but to also create freedom to thrive as leaders and to be present in the moments that matter most.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Christina Sims, a certified AI consultant, developer, speaker, and best-selling author. As the founder of Precision Edge AI, an AI consultancy and agency, where we blend innovation and impact to equip female founder with bespoke AI solutions to scale their businesses sustainably. My journey into AI started from a deeply personal place. After a traumatic childbirth and being forced to return to work just weeks later, I realized there was a gap and a lack of solutions that allowed women to build businesses without sacrificing their well-being or families. That realization sparked my mission to create a bridge between technology and freedom.
My introduction to AI came a few years ago during my corporate career. I saw its potential to do more than just increase productivity. I saw it as the key to reclaiming time and creating space for the life and business you truly want. That realization ignited my passion for mastering this technology, and I became certified in AI to ensure I could ethically and strategically create impactful solutions. But the real turning point came when I faced a crossroads in my career, one where I had to choose between my career, my personal well-being, and being a present wife and mother. It was then that I knew I had to answer the calling on my heart and pursue a career in AI. I founded Precision Edge AI because I saw women founders navigating the same challenges as women in corporate, sacrificing their lives for their work and feeling like there was no other way.
At Precision Edge AI, we specialize in consultations, training, and bespoke AI solutions to help businesses integrate AI seamlessly into their operations. From building custom GPTs and chatbots to designing AI-driven automations, we help founders streamline their workflows, elevate client experiences, and scale profitably. What makes us different is our human-first approach. Every tool we create is an extension of your brand, designed to amplify your voice and values while delivering measurable impact.
Our clients have saved over $750K annually through AI automations, freeing up their time to focus on scaling their coaching programs, private communities, courses, consultancies, and agencies. I’m so honored to have been recognized a Woman Leading AI by Medium and won awards such as the Stevie Award and CREA Global Award. The real reward and what I’m most proud of, however, is in the amount of hours that I’ve been able to restore to women who want to build amazing businesses while still being present for date night, bedtime stories, recitals, and sporting events.
For me, this work is so much bigger than business or even success. I believe AI, when used responsibly, is the key to giving women the time, resources, and confidence to build thriving businesses that honor their values and allow them to lead boldly. My mission is to help more women take control of their narratives, redefine success on their own terms, and create legacies that reflect their brilliance both in business and in life.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What helped me build my reputation in the market was prioritizing depth over visibility. While many in the AI space chose to focus on building their online influence, I spent the first year of my business working exclusively behind the scenes with clients. I wasn’t chasing trends or promoting tools for the sake of popularity. Instead, I focused on crafting custom AI solutions, workflows, and recommendations that truly aligned with my clients’ unique needs.
For so many founders, the constant release of new AI tools felt overwhelming. They didn’t have the bandwidth to sift through endless options, let alone figure out how to integrate them into their business in a meaningful way. My goal was to take that weight off their shoulders. Every solution I provided was designed to feel like memory foam, seamlessly fitting their business and simplifying their operations while driving measurable growth.
By focusing on real results and building trust through my work, I was able to establish myself as someone who delivers substance over solely what’s trending. When I stepped into public speaking, I had the advantage of sharing real-world examples and case studies from my time working directly with clients. That authenticity and expertise have been instrumental in shaping my reputation as a trusted leader in the AI space.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was how deeply ingrained corporate work habits shaped my approach to success. In my corporate career, I was conditioned to equate long hours and constant busyness with productivity. My value was tied to being “always on,” and I carried that mindset into entrepreneurship, thinking it was the only way to succeed.
But as a wife, a mom to a young son, and an entrepreneur, I quickly realized that model wasn’t sustainable or aligned with the life I wanted to create. Entrepreneurship doesn’t fit into a 9-to-5 box, especially when you’re juggling school lessons, family dinners, and client deadlines. I had to learn how to adapt my life and business to work with me, not against me. That meant embracing flexibility, creating systems that supported my lifestyle, and carving out space for self-care because I can’t show up for anyone else if I’m running on empty.
I stopped trying to do it all and started focusing on what truly mattered both in my business and in my life. This mindset is now at the heart of the work I do with my clients. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t about how much you achieve, but the life you build along the way.
