We recently connected with Christina Perry and have shared our conversation below.
Christina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My story is pretty unique. I never had a love or passion for fitness. In fact growing up in the inner city I really lacked the knowledge and had no examples of what good health was. I grew up with asthma and have dealt with my own health challenges all my life. I feared of long term health issues if I didn’t make a change. I’m a single mom and I remember thinking to myself I want to be healthy and mobile enough to take my daughter to the zoo, amusement parks, school field trips and not have to carry around medicines or a breathing machine just to get thru the day.
I started little by little taking a walks and reaching out to friends to hold myself accountable. Every week I began increasing the time and in a month incorporating the gym/weights. Little steps make big changes over time. That’s actually applicable to everything.
At some point I fell in love wit the process and began to help others which is how BODYLOVE was birthed. I wanted other women to know they to can be healthy no matter what their circumstance is or where they come from. It’s possible and I’m going to show you how to to Love on your Body.

Christina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started my business to not only give women hope when it comes to their health ad fitness goals but to give you action. Give you answers. The tools you need. Value.
I offer personal training both in person and virtually, fitness classes, nutrition guidance, mentorship, fitness accessories and apparel, and a community. I take my platform very seriously.
BodyLove is and will always be found it on HEALTH both inside and out. BodyLove provides an experience. My ladies wake up excited to be in each other’s company. It’s kind of like when you are going to get your hair done how there is a process of getting dressed to look cute for after, stopping by Starbucks for your fav drink and having some juicy topics to discuss with your hair dresser. My ladies do this. They have the cute bags, color coordinated down to the water bottle, we discuss our kids, relationships, beauty tips and so on.
Anyone can be a BODYLOVE baddie no matter the size, color, shape, or age you qualify to better yourself.
I want you workout because you love your body not because your hate it. I want you to eat right because you love to feel good not because this is what you have to do.
This is what make BodyLove Body Love.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my social media presence by first separating my personal image from my brand. That way I control the content shared and the tailored my content to audience I wanted to attract. My first step was to set up a separate business page. Think about who your target market is and keep that in mind when making content and sharing information. I show up as my authentic self, showing and teaching things that I wanted to hear when I first started out.
The main thing I have learned in this process is to stay consistent and your tribe will find you, share your content, and support you.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I show up consistently and I cannot express enough how important that is. You have to be loyal to your own business. You have to support yourself first before anyone else. Stay in contact with your supporters. I post consistently, I have challenges with them, I utilize email marketing, and I support their journeys. I provide value!
