We were lucky to catch up with Christina Peeler recently and have shared our conversation below.

Christina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I would love to leave a Legacy of Faith, Integrity, Honesty and Love!

When I am no longer here I hope to remembered as someone who truly loves! That everything I do, I do from the HEART and because I WANT to not because I HAVE to…..

I have always told my children that if you LOVE what you do, you will never work a day of your life! After taking the leap of FAITH, opening my business and TRUSTING the LORD, I can honestly say that I can not honestly call this “WORK”! The BEST part is…. HE is not done yet!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Christina M Peeler, I go by Christy for short. I am a wife to my wonderful husband Ben, who is definitely my biggest supporter and #1 fan! He is always encouraging me and pushing me to go further without doubting anything that I do!

We have been married almost 13 years, we have built a beautiful life together, we drive each other crazy but are so unbelievably perfectly imperfect together! We have 5 children in our blended family. One girl who is almost 24 and the rest are all boys ages 6 to 23.

We love family time, we love to travel, go camping, riding 4 wheelers, fishing, taking the boat out, anything creating memories and experiences, We hope that our children enjoy the time as much as we do!

I have ALWAYS loved photography and my husband bought me my first “real” camera in 2012 and that’s when I realized that there is so much more to photography than just clicking a button… WOW! Classes, practice, more classes and more practice, practice, practice!!!! Every photoshoot that I do I learn more and more every time.

I strive to offer affordable sessions and to create relationships with each family that I have the privilege of meeting and capturing memories for!

My goal is to “Capture Moments that Last a Lifetime”!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

I LOVE the excitement from the phone call, email or text message after a client receives their gallery for the first time!

No matter how much I love a photo, it’s what my client thinks and FEELS when seeing their memories. My goal is for them to REMEMBER the moment and FEEL the emotion when looking at their photos from their recent session and even more so YEARS down the road!!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

COMMUNICATION, Quality and Consistency!

I make it PERSONAL, I like to get to know my clients and their families… who become friends!

I am a photographer not an editor. I want to capture the moment as it is, I want to capture the subject for who they are and not make them look like someone or something that they are not.
