We recently connected with Christina Pangan and have shared our conversation below.
Christina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
When I landed my first job as a nurse practitioner, it felt like a culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice, but also the beginning of something entirely new. At the time, I was navigating a mix of emotions: pride, uncertainty, and a deep drive to prove myself in this new role. My goals were simple yet profound—I wanted to make an impact, earn the trust of my patients, and find my footing in a field that felt both familiar and daunting.
The recruiting process was nothing like the textbook examples we studied in school. I wasn’t approached by recruiters or handed a job on a silver platter. Instead, I pounded the proverbial pavement, sending out resumes and scouring job boards late into the night. I remember sitting at my kitchen table with my laptop, my coffee turning cold, as I crafted personalized cover letters for every opportunity I could find.
When I got the call for an interview, I was ecstatic—but also terrified. The clinic was a small, family-owned practice in a busy community, and I knew this setting would challenge me. Walking into the interview, my hands were clammy, and I rehearsed every potential answer in my head, hoping they’d see how passionate I was despite my lack of experience.
To my surprise, the interview felt less like an interrogation and more like a conversation. They didn’t just want to know what I knew—they wanted to know who I was. Why did I become a nurse? What was my philosophy on patient care? Looking back, this focus on values over just credentials made it clear I was in the right place.
When they offered me the job, I felt an overwhelming mix of relief and excitement. I dove headfirst into the work, seeing my own patients and making decisions that genuinely mattered. It wasn’t easy. There were late nights, imposter syndrome, and moments where I questioned if I was truly ready. But over time, I realized that this first job was shaping me—not just as a nurse practitioner, but as a person.
In parallel, my interest in IV therapy started brewing. I had noticed how many patients came in exhausted and dehydrated, looking for solutions that traditional care didn’t always address. The idea of starting a mobile IV business felt like a natural extension of my work—a way to empower people to take proactive steps in their health. At the time, it was just a dream, but that first NP job gave me the confidence and insight to make it happen.
Am I happy I started where I did? Absolutely. That clinic taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of genuine patient connections. It laid the foundation for everything I do today, both as a nurse practitioner and as the owner of a thriving mobile IV therapy business. It’s humbling to look back and see how far I’ve come—and exciting to imagine what’s still ahead.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Absolutely! Here’s a bit about me and my journey.
I’m a nurse practitioner and entrepreneur, deeply passionate about health and wellness. My career began in the clinical world, where I worked one-on-one with patients, helping them manage acute and chronic conditions. From the start, I realized how much I loved empowering people to take control of their health through both traditional care and holistic approaches.
My journey into IV therapy came from a mix of curiosity and observation. As I worked with patients, I saw a growing need for accessible, proactive healthcare solutions—especially in areas like hydration, vitamin supplementation, and recovery. Many people were feeling burnt out, run-down, or simply looking for ways to optimize their well-being, and they wanted something beyond the traditional model of care. This inspired me to launch my mobile IV business, a service designed to bring wellness directly to my clients in the comfort of their homes or workplaces.
What I Provide and the Problems I Solve
My mobile IV business offers customized IV hydration and vitamin therapy. Whether someone needs an energy boost, hydration after a long trip or workout, or support during recovery from an illness, I tailor each treatment to meet their specific needs. I also provide wellness consultations and educate my clients about the benefits of preventive care, helping them feel their best every day—not just when they’re sick.
What sets me apart is my clinical background as a nurse practitioner. Every service I provide is grounded in evidence-based practice and delivered with the care and attention of a medical professional. My clients can feel confident that they’re not just receiving a service—they’re receiving care from someone who understands the science and art of health.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m incredibly proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. The trust they place in me is something I never take for granted. It’s rewarding to hear from someone who says, “I haven’t felt this good in years,” or to see someone make meaningful changes in their health journey with a little guidance and support.
I’m also proud of the leap I took to start my own business. Entrepreneurship wasn’t something I had formal training in, but I believed in my vision, and I’ve poured my heart into creating a service that truly makes a difference.
What I Want You to Know
At the heart of everything I do is a genuine desire to help people feel their best. My brand is built on trust, quality, and accessibility. Whether you’re a busy professional, an athlete, or someone recovering from illness, my goal is to make wellness convenient, effective, and empowering.
For potential clients, I want you to know that you’re not just booking a service—you’re partnering with someone who cares about your health as much as you do. For followers and fans of my work, I want you to see my journey as proof that with passion and determination, you can create something meaningful that impacts lives.
This work is more than a business for me—it’s a mission to redefine how we approach health and wellness. And I’m so grateful to everyone who’s been a part of the journey so far.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back, I would absolutely choose the same profession and specialty. Becoming a nurse practitioner and launching my mobile IV business have been deeply fulfilling paths, both personally and professionally.
Nursing, at its core, is about connection and making a difference in people’s lives. As a nurse practitioner, I’ve had the privilege of combining my clinical expertise with a holistic approach to care. This blend allows me to see the whole person, not just their symptoms, and that perspective has been invaluable.
Specializing in IV therapy and wellness has also been incredibly rewarding. It’s a field where I get to help people feel their best in tangible, immediate ways. The gratitude clients express after an IV session, whether it’s for hydration, energy, or recovery, is a constant reminder of why I chose this path.
That said, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. The road to becoming an NP was rigorous, and starting a business came with its share of risks and steep learning curves. But those moments of difficulty only reinforced my passion and resilience.
If I were to do anything differently, I might have leaned into entrepreneurship sooner or sought out mentorship earlier to navigate the business side of healthcare. Still, every twist and turn has taught me something valuable.
Looking back, I’m proud of where I’ve landed, and I wouldn’t trade the experiences, connections, or impact for anything. This profession has given me the opportunity to grow, serve, and build something meaningful—something I’m excited to continue shaping for years to come.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Beyond training and knowledge, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and perseverance are essential for succeeding as a nurse practitioner and in the IV therapy business. Here’s why:
1. Adaptability
The healthcare field is constantly evolving, from new treatments and technologies to shifting patient needs. To succeed, you have to embrace change and think creatively. For instance, in my IV business, I’ve had to adapt to client feedback and tailor services to meet their unique needs. Flexibility allows you to grow with the field rather than be left behind.
2. Emotional Intelligence
In both my clinical practice and business, emotional intelligence has been invaluable. It’s about being able to connect with people on a human level—listening to their concerns, empathizing with their experiences, and communicating in a way that builds trust. Patients and clients don’t just want expertise; they want someone who genuinely cares and understands what they’re going through.
3. Perseverance
There will be challenges, setbacks, and moments of doubt in any career. For me, perseverance has been the glue that held everything together. Building a business while maintaining a clinical career required grit—staying focused on my goals even when things felt overwhelming.
4. Networking and Collaboration
Success in this field also comes from building strong relationships, whether with colleagues, mentors, or clients. Networking has opened doors I didn’t even know existed and provided me with guidance when I needed it most.
5. Passion for Helping Others
Lastly, the drive to make a difference is the foundation of everything I do. When your work is rooted in a genuine desire to help others, it fuels your resilience and makes every effort feel worthwhile.
By combining these qualities with training and knowledge, I’ve been able to navigate the complexities of my field, connect with clients, and create a meaningful impact.
