We recently connected with Christina Moffitino and have shared our conversation below.
Christina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
About 10 years ago, I had graduated college and I struggled to find work. After desperate searches, I became an assistant for a media company. It was a full-time office job that fulfilled my adult needs at the time, but it definitely crushed my soul. I was teaching only one cardio dance class a week on my day off to keep my creative teaching juices flowing, but it wasn’t enough to satisfy my soul craving. There were times I had to work late and I was itching to be in dance class. It was the scariest thing I had done at the time, but I quit after a year and a half of working there and took the leap of faith to pursue my passion to be a professional dancer. It was such a rollercoaster of a ride with a lot of downs and twists, but I don’t regret it at all. My journey led me to fuse my passion for teaching and dance and make it my full time career as an entertainer and educator.
Christina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

As an entertainer, I’ve also been on an international tour as a singer and dancer. I’ve performed on BBC Radio London, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the world famous Royal Albert Hall in London. Other credits include DVSN & Ty Dolla $ign, Wyclef Jean, Rae Sremmurd, Ray J, Frankie J, Baby Bash, Jenn Morel & Jonn Hart.
You can stream my workout videos on the Fitbit Premium App. You can also find free workout videos on Youtube under PopSugar Fitness. I also teach in-person monthly community classes with Free People Movement in Studio City.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Freedom to living a fulfilled life. I love being able to create my schedule, income and job opportunities. With my work, I get to fuse my passion for movement, fitness, music, dance, production and entertainment all in one. I’m grateful that all the risks I took were worth the reward of being a full time entrepreneur and entertainer.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media has been pivotal for me in my career. For many of us creatives it serves now as our digital resumes. My advice is to have intention and be consistent with your content. Instagram is my biggest audience platform and it has taken over 10 years to build. I’ve also taken healthy breaks if I feel overwhelmed, but always come back to it with the intention to inspire, motivate or book work. My biggest life changing opportunities came to me through DMs! So remember it’s not about metrics and how many people see it, it’s the RIGHT person seeing your work. Be authentic and stay true to you and it will resonate and build your audience.
