Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christina Marie Anderson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christina Marie, thanks for joining us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
WordPress web design, and web developers, have left a sour taste in the mouths of many when it comes to creating an elevated online presence. So often I hear creative business owners lamenting the fact that developing a website is intimidating — it’s hard to even understand where to start. They also say that it takes forever, and they don’t have time to wait 4-6 months for a new website. And they also say that developers are rude, or have ghosted them in the past, and they make it hard to stomach starting a new relationship or investing in a new website.
With my unique approach, I’m turning all those old tropes on their head. Wandersoul Co is dedicated to making WordPress web design fast, simple and approachable. Through the use of a transparent investment model, focused attention during Design Days to get projects done fast, and a personality packed experience with an emphasis on customer service I’ve created a whole new way for business owners to get a strategic new website built for them — fast.
Before I started working exclusively in Design Days projects would linger for months — even years sometimes. And that wasn’t working for my clients, or for me. As a former client experience and guest relations specialist, I knew there had to be a better way to get the work done to the highest standard, without compromising on the timeline my clients had to get their websites up and running, well, yesterday.
When clients come to me it’s because they’ve already realized they’re leaving money on the table, and they know they’re ready to invest in a cohesive and strategic online presence that will help capture that revenue they know they’ve been missing out on.
Plus, once a client works with me on their website, their world is opened to the full suite of my services, from website maintenance to consulting, to systems and tech setup. I don’t just build websites, I build business foundations for people who are ready to capitalize on their ideas and bring their vision online.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m a web developer, tech consultant and systems strategist. I’m the owner of Wandersoul Co, a web development studio packed with personality, and I make web design fast, simple and approachable for creative small business owners.
With over a decade of experience creating luxury and boutique experiences for high end clients, paired with my love of all things web, tech and systems, I understand what it takes to create a strategic online presence that attracts and converts ideal clients for small business owners who don’t have time to do it all themselves.
I’m a WordPress expert and a Certified Dubsado Specialist — which means that I don’t just build your website, I help you create a foundational piece of your business that’s ready to grow with you as your business does.
I support women from all walks of life who have previously found success in a corporate environment, and are now ready to step out on their own. These women are bold, intuitive, ready to invest and know how important it is to hire an expert for anything that’s not in their zone of genius.
When you work with me you’ll gain a trusted confidant who cares about your business as much as you do, and will help support you in making the right decisions to grow into the vision you have.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I like to think my clients become pseudo-friends throughout our time together, not just the people supporting me in paying my bills. At my previous job I was invested in creating a boutique client experience that helped us stand out from our competitors in the luxury transportation industry in Vail, Colorado — and now I use all those same skills to foster a nurturing environment for my web design clients.
My business was built on the premise of “never leave them wondering what comes next” and it’s the mindset I channel with each new prospect and client in my Wandersoul Co ecosystem.
I use tools (Asana, Dubsado) to mindfully automate my process and keep track of where each client is in the process of working with me — plus I check in on all of my projects daily to see where I can focus my energy, reach out, provide more information, or connect in one way or another.
I also have clearly outlined onboarding and offboarding processes, with check-ins in-between, so that my clients always know where they are in their project, and how things will proceed.
Clients are also welcomed into my referral program in order to receive discounts if someone they refer signs up for a service.
All that boils down to: I pay attention and I nurture my clients on a regular basis, so that they and their friends want to come to me for their web design and systems work.

Have you ever had to pivot?
Early on in my business I made the same mistake so many entrepreneurs new to the online space — I called myself a “jill-of-all-trades” and told anyone that I could basically do whatever work they needed me to.
I called myself a virtual assistant and I worked on everything from email inbox organization to high level project management, web design and social media content creation. And it was fun….for while.
But after it was fun it was anxiety-inducing, and I was on the verge of burnt out (or a full on break down).
Last March I found myself in an unhappy place with my business, working for clients who drained me, didn’t respect my time, and didn’t even believe the word “boundaries” was real.
At that point, I had to make a choice — and I pivoted in a quintessential way: by setting boundaries for myself and with my clients.
I learned that it’s okay to say “no” and it’s okay to say “not like that” or “not then” as a business owner.
I also pivoted my services, by niching down on the types of services I would offer, eventually settling on WordPress web design. But the biggest pivot I made was in setting up clear boundaries, and systems to uphold them, that make the overall experience better for me *and* my clients.
Now, I’m even more intimately familiar with what I need out of my business in order to feel fulfilled, and every day I reaffirm the boundaries I’ve set to create the life I want.
