We were lucky to catch up with Christina Hand recently and have shared our conversation below.

Christina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard

At Cilverbow Botanicals we offer safe, nontoxic and eco friendly natural nail services that are different from industry standard in a number of ways. Firstly, the products used are free from harmful chemicals and toxins that can potentially damage nails or cause other health problems. Secondly, the methods used are gentle and effective, meaning that they do not require the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Finally, the eco-friendly aspect means that the products and methods used cause minimal harm to the environment. Fourth, we focus on natural nail care and repairs to revive damaged or broken nails after removing artificial nails.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My name is Christina Hand. I got into the nail industry by being interested in beauty and attending beauty school 10 years ago. I then a year ago I decided to open my own nail salon so that I could share my passion for nails with others. I believe that everyone deserves to have beautiful healthy nails, and I am dedicated to providing high-quality natural nail care services to my clients. The most innovative thing I’ve done was use vegan treatments and nontoxic polish . This was a response to the increasing demand for healthier options in the nail industry. I saw an opportunity to provide a safe and healthy alternative for people who wanted to avoid the harmful chemicals found in many conventional nail products. My salon quickly became popular with customers who appreciated the clean, green environment and the quality of our products and till today we still uphold the 5 star nail salon in Miami.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

My clients’ reviews formed my reputation as a successful business owner. I started out with zero clients and grew organically within a year, I do not think I’d have clients if they hadn’t read my reviews for Cilverbow Botanicals Nail Salon in Miami and were five stars across the board on all platforms such as google, yelp, Classpass and Groupon. My nail clients are some of my favorite people. The laughs the cries and the fun afternoons just chatting it up. They’ve been with me through this new journey as salon owner and I’m grateful for their support. They always make me feel welcome and comfortable, and I love getting to know them better.

Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?

There is a growing trend in the beauty industry for natural nail care. This is where hands-on nail care classes come in. These classes are designed to teach both my clients and nail techs how to properly care for nails using natural methods.

One of the benefits of these classes is that they provide a more personal learning experience. When you are able to physically see and touch the products that you are using, it helps to solidify the concepts being taught. In the future, I would like to explore other avenues of revenue for my salon, such as spa parties. This could involve renting out the space for private parties, or partnering with another business to offer services. I think this would be a great way to increase business and bring in new customers and offer a new service that’s hands-on.
