We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christina Davis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christina below.
Christina, appreciate you joining us today. How do you feel about asking friends and family to support your business? What’s appropriate, what’s not? Where do you draw the line?
I have been very blessed to have extrememly supportive family and friends. On social media, I’ve seen a lot of small business owners talk about strangers supporting them more so than their family and friends. I’m grateful that isn’t my story! My family and friends are the reason I am still in business today. They believed in me and the vision God gave me. I didn’t have to ask for their support, they just did it. Having total strangers to you support you is great, however, there is no comparison when people you love, and admire support your dream and/or vision.

Christina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Christina Davis the Founder/C.E.O. of C.U.T.E. Ink. C.U.T.E. stands for “Committed Until The End®” which was birthed in February of 2018. God gave me the acronym at 3 a.m. and the meaning of each letter. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what God wanted me to do with this. I thought it was specifically about being committed to my husband and marriage, which is important however, God revealed to me that you can be committed to so many things, and not to lock in onto one thing. Once I received clarity of what C.U.T.E. meant and all of the things you can be committed to, Holy Spirit impressed upon me to move forward in making the vision God gave me a reality.
In September of 2020, we worked diligently to launch C.U.T.E. Ink, a lifestyle brand company that is committed to motivating, and telling the stories of those who are living committed lifestyles. Our apparel is designed to Inspire, Motivate, Encourage, and Remind you that whatever you’re committed to, Be C.U.T.E. Committed Until The End®.
Our foundational scripture is: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. ”Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
What I am most proud of is the message we are sharing of being committed. In a time of “cancel culture”, we want to be the one who encourages, and motivate you to stay committed to your hopes and dreams regardless of what it feels like or look like. A lot of times we give up too easily and later have regrets for quitting. We want to help you before you decide to give up by giving you practical ways to stay C.U.T.E. committed until the end®.
What sets us apart from other brands is our mission to motivate and inspire.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I made the decision to make my dream a reality, I was not completely sure what that would look like. I worked with a web developer and a graphic designer to create what I had envisioned in my head. Once they were able to bring it to life, I wanted to share it with the world. So, I had t-shirts, hoodies, and baseball caps made with my logo and brand name on them, and I sold them. Initially I thought that was what I was supposed to do, sell products. However, in the back of my mine, I kept having the feeling that I am not a retail business. I was also told this on numerous occasions as well. It wasn’t until here lately that I had to pivot from what I started out as and now operate in what it is I am supposed to do.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started my business, I knew I needed to get the word out and the best way was through social media. Therefore I created a business Instagram (IG) account and asked my personal page IG followers to start following my new account. Then I created my Facebook (FB) business account and invited friends and family from my personal FB account to follow me. I later created a TikTok account and posted reels to attract additional followers. The best way to build your audience is to post often with relevant content, post eye-catching photos, and engage with your followers. People love stories and they want to hear what you have to say.
