We recently connected with Christina D’Alessandro and have shared our conversation below.
Christina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
The first dollar that I made as a creative was doing a makeup application for Christian Dior Beauty!
Christina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Christina and I am a professional fashion model! I have been modeling for 4 years on and off, and am fortunate enough to now have this as my full time profession. I got into this profession due to a spinal deformity funny enough!
Growing up I suffered severe scoliosis, and as a result, I was bullied all through out high school. Being bullied as a young teen made me lack self identity, but motivated me to try and find my like-minded people to connect with since I had zero sense of community in my home town. I ended up falling in love with fashion and beauty, and all of the people in the industry and that really helped push start my modeling career.
This industry is very cut throat and changes every single day, but I think what sets me apart is my drive to work extra hard during times of change. If I had one message for my followers it would be to not stress about the things you cannot control, and never give up on your dreams. Sometimes things get in the way of moving forward but there are always multiple paths you can take to get to your end goal!
My most recent accomplishment at work is modeling for Vogue Italy May 2023.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission and passion for my career is to always make others know that they are not alone, and that they are beautiful inside and out. My social media pages have become a really awesome outlet for other young girls struggling with physical disabilities and body dysmorphia, and I hope I can continue to be a friend to my followers whenever they need.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part in my creative career is project recognition. In the world of social media, there is an overwhelming amount of competition, saturation and social media always has you looking for the “next best thing,” so when my hard work and effort gets recognized I feel truly rewarded.
